Once again, since you assume authority in every subject, does God practice equality in heaven?  Or do black souls have to stay on their separate but equal cloud?

And does God serve pork?  I'd really like to hear the reality as you see it.

Do souls come in different colors?

Again, you're asking the wrong guy; I don't think there are such things.  But if you believe that people have them, you may wish to answer your own question.  Ask War Hero -- he claims to have a direct line to God.

Our Socialist/Communist Heathen has stuck again.

I doubt that devout Muslims, who pray five times a day, think about their faith as often as does my good friend Wordslinger.

As he reaches his life expectancy, Wordslinger is trying more to convince himself that he is right and there is no God more than anyone else.

You have an addiction to pretending to know what other people think.  And you are almost always wrong.  LOL

I knew there was no god when I was 12 and quit the Christian church in which I had been raised.

I'd change my stance in an instant if there was even an iota of proof.

However, back to my question to you and all your friends who claim to believe:  Is God a racist?  Do African American souls have to stay on their separate but equal cloud?

Does God serve Pork up, or down, or wherever your heaven is supposed to be?

Years ago I needed a car repair and a friend recommended this dude whose shop was in Ensley. Told me he's "a good Christian man".

Worst excuse for attempted car repair I've ever had. He may have been in love with Jesus but unfortunately Jesus never taught him a thing about fixing cars. Either that or Jesus didn't even know what a car was being he lived 2000 years ago.

Semi-Sane "I know NOSSING!" Markle thinks it's strange that a strident Atheist would often use this forum to attack religion.

Now isn't THAT strange?

How about the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly?  I've never been able to rationalize the assertion that it is evolutionary.

Atheism is the absence of belief in a God figure.  It is the absence of religion or faith.  Perhaps too complex for Semi-Sane "I KNOW NOSSING!" Markle.

Once again you are wrong, but, again, not surprising.  After all you're still figuring out the boiling point of water.

I would believe, that someone of your stature, so proud of the depth and breadth of your knowledge about faith and God would know that Atheism is a religion.  You know, just like Episcopalian, Mormon, Baptist, Catholic or perhaps you're more aligned with Muslims?

Atheism is a religion? What on earth are you talking about?

Do you believe in Zeus? If your answer to that is "no", does that mean that you are practicing some sort of religion that ignores Zeus?

What about the tens of thousands of other gods that you don't believe in?

Sure it is, one without a God figure, and without faith.

One about which you proselytize on a daily basis.

If your God exists, he's a cold, cruel, whacko sonofabitch.

OK.  Let's explore this idea a bit.  How are you defining 'religion', Markle?  You clearly have your own definition, and your definition is definitely not the one that is used by the rest of the world. It almost seems as if you define disbelief as a religion, which is wrong.

If someone doesn't believe in Zeus, are they practicing a religion?

If someone doesn't believe in the easter bunny, is that a religion?

If someone doesn't believe that star wars is real, is that a religion?

Help me out here and tell me how you define 'religion'.

Same way as the Supreme Court who made the decision. They didn't make that distinction for your beloved Star Wars.

SCOTUS deals with legal definitions, not the meaning of words in the English language.

Here's a real definition:

  • Examples
  • Word Origin

noun
1.
a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
2.
a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects:
the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.
3.
the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices:
a world council of religions.
4.
the life or state of a monk, nun, etc.:
to enter religion.
5.
the practice of religious beliefs; ritual observance of faith.
6.
something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience:
to make a religion of fighting prejudice.
7.
religions, Archaic. religious rites:
painted priests performing religions deep into the night.

Under Semi-Sane Markle's definition, a man who bicycles every day, rain or shine, is practicing a religion.

So is a man who regularly farts after every meal.  LOL

No, seriously. How do you define religion, Markle? I'm interested in your definition of the term, not supreme court legalese.

Watch. I'll go first. When I think of the term 'religion', I think of some sort of school of thought that offers guidance or a "way of life" perhaps. Religions generally offer a supernatural explanation for the origins of the universe and will also have some sort of deity or god. Religions also tend to offer supernatural explanations for what happens after we die. I'm probably leaving a few details out but that is the general gist.

Your turn, Markle.

And you sound like a bumbling fool who, clearly unable to voice your own opinion of the definition of religion, tries to shift the subject.

Perhaps that's why you're called Semi Sane, "I know NOSSING!" Markle.

You seriously can't simply state what the term 'religion' means to you, Markle? Are you really that incompetent without copy-and-paste fodder?

If you really believe that atheism is a religion, then wouldn't that mean that it is impossible to not be religious? Everyone is religious by default, right?

'Atheist' is simply a term that describes people who do not believe in ancient mythology. The end. That's it. That isn't a religion anymore than not playing tennis is a religion, or not eating shellfish.

There's nothing paranoid about hating something you believe is wrong.  Making the Christian bible the state book of Tennessee defies the constitution -- which once in a while you like to claim you support.  Tennessee didn't make the Torah, the Book of Mormon, or any other so-called holy book "state books."  They're using government to push their favored religion.  That sucks.

You accuse me of being paranoid; that suggests fear.   Just what is it you think I'm afraid of?
