Wordslinger wrote:My response is simple:  I press the religious issue as much as possible because I'm convinced religions are evil and we need to toss the fantasy bullshit in favor of making decisions based on fact and/or science instead of crapola written ages ago by people who didn't know what a Kidney did, or where the sun went at night.

You want to believe some medieval wizardry, that's your business.  But when you try to persuade our government to make important policy decisions based on anything other than fact and/or scientific knowledge you're corrupting what our so-called founding fathers advocated.

I asked a neighbor if a local contractor who specializes in remodeling was worthy of trust.  His answer:  "Oh sure.  He's a good Christian."

Jesus.  So was Jimmy Swaggert!  And so was Bill Cosby!

LOL

And yet when you're asked to express your scientific explanations and how they explain everything you suddenly become absent and silent.

Did a wizard get your tongue?

Insulin.  This medication didn't come from any God(s).  It came from science and it keeps millions of diabetics alive.  What the fuck does religion do for people?  Now who's silent?

God is everything so ultimately it comes from God.

What caused the Big Bang to happen?

What caused the Big Bang to happen?  Something REAL!

So it was a miracle then since apparently you don't know.

*************************************************************

Oxford Dictionary

miracle
Syllabification: mir·a·cle
Pronunciation:  /ˈmirək(ə)l

Definition of miracle in English:

noun

1A - surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency:

1.1A highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that brings very welcome consequences:
‘it was a miracle that more people hadn’t been killed or injured’

1.2An amazing product or achievement, or an outstanding example of something:
‘a machine which was a miracle of design’

There are lots of things I don't know.  I doubt their all miracles.  For instance, I don't know how many times you took a dump this week.  That's hardly a miracle.  I don't know if girl snakes wear bras, either.  Your logic is more distorted than Dolly Parton's old chest.

I see... You don't know anything about anything, but most especially you don't know anything about the science you so worship as the answer to all things, and you think this makes you intelligent in some obscure manner.

How does it feel to be the mindless follower of a Godless religion?

Wrong.  I know quite a bit about a lot of things.  I've already explained the Big Bang.  And I understand how water boils when it's heated sufficiently.  My intelligence is anything but obscure.  And I can communicate much better than you.  Even so, there's a lot that science and I don't understand -- and we haven't found a genuine miracle as yet.  Nor have you.   LOL

Nope! Sorry. The real thing only happened with Coke and isn't a scientific explanation. Looks like we're looking at a true life miracle.

See the image

What do you care what he posts about? Just because you believe in myths and superstitions doesn't mean everyone is that dumb.
-----
That's your opinion and it is an opinion only.

You have that backwards. Your belief is an opinion...not a fact.

Which is why it is called FAITH.

Being a heathen is an opinion as well...so that's FAITH too I guess.

That's stretching it a bit.  You have told us in the past that you know that water boils when sufficiently heated, you just believe that sufficiently heated is 240 degrees.

Right, I'm not infallible like you. I'm only human. Don't you wish you could be the same?

Judging from the posts of our favorite Heathen, Wordslinger, nothing was happening in the world but his sole, personal fight against, all people of faith.

Nothing else could explain his obsession.

Okay, I get it. I'm against religions, and you're against the middle class.

My Socialist/Communist good friend Wordslinger LIES AGAIN.

He is proudly a Heathen. I have proudly pointed out the destruction of the Middle Class by this massively failed, semi-retired President.

Let's see who's lying: Are you for eliminating the minimum wage?

Are you against healthcare for all?

Are you for raising taxes on the 1% to pay for infrastructure projects and free college education?

Are you for leaving in financial oversight regulations so that Wall Street won't pull the dirty tricks it did that brought on the last recession?

Are you for penalizing American companies that ship their manufacturing overseas to avoid paying living wages to American workers?

Are you in favor of allowing ultra rich individuals and/or companies to buy elections through unlimited campaign funding?

Are you for privatizing social security?

Are you for ending welfare aid entirely?

See, I didn't lie. I hate religion and you hate the middleclass!!

All give away and mandate... not any mention of opportunity. I hate to break it to you... but those aren't solutions.

At most it's an populist/entitlement stop-gap measure.

OK. So you and Semi-sane Markle both hate the middle class. We get it.

Then why does the middle wage and cola need to be a social issue so often? Was there a flaw in the last fix?

Not sure I understand your question. What is "middle wage?"

*minimum... and you likely still won't understand the question.

PkrBum wrote:*minimum... and you likely still won't understand the question.

The minimum wage is too low to allow workers to survive on their own. The largesse you are so strongly against, is the result of companies like Walmart advising their underpaid workers how to apply for food stamps. You and your republican brethren are open advocates for the ultra rich to bloodsuck their workers. You're thinking is inadequate. Considering how you idolize the ultra rich, you shouldn't be attacking aid programs like food stamps. Get real, Pkrbum. Food stamps helps big corporations like MacDonald's, Hardies, Burger King, etc., increase profits by keeping their wages as low as possible, and forcing the middle class to pay for such aid programs with their taxes.

You and your fellow republicans who pretend you aren't just shills for the biggest bloodsucking corporations in the world, are a fraud.

Thank you for corroborating my statements; you really do hate the middleclass and the poor!

Down with Amerika Inc.! Corporate control of our government through campaign financing.

Somehow, the thread I created, which was about so-called Christian organizations like the KKK and American Family Association being racist hate groups (the AFA says non-Christians shouldn't have 1st amendment rights), has become a debate about republicans' hate for the middle class and poor.

Nothing has changed. The self-proclaimed Christian hate groups of the KKK and AFA, are indeed good reasons for hating religions.

And there's really no possible way for the republicans to profess their adoration for big business and the ultra rich, without showing their disdain and dislike for the American middle class and the poor.

Reality.

As my socialist/communist good friend Wordslinger knows well, and ignores is that the Ku Klux Klan is a radical branch of the Democrat Party.

It used to be. Now they're ALL Dixiecrats. Of course, you already know that. Poor Semi-sane Markle ... he's really desperate again.

Maybe your good friend Semi-sane Markle can list all the racists in both parties. Huh?

Of course he'll need a big computer to handle all the repubicans who hate blacks, browns, yellows, Jews, etc. I'm sure if he begs for help, the AFA will be glad to assist. LOL

Perhaps you could name one racist republican in congress? With proof of course.

By speaking to a group while campaigning over a decade ago? What has he specifically done that is racist?

Calling someone a racist is a serious accusation... not to be used frivolously. To do so as a political tactic is despicable.

Here's a political tactic that's a hundred times more despicable:

All the moves by the Republicans to force difficult state electoral ID requirements that are aimed specifically at reducing the black vote. Which is just one of the many reasons black Americans vote democrat. And in some cases the court has already invalidated those efforts.

If attempting to reduce the black American vote, the republicans are demonstrating pure, unadulterated, smelly, un-American racism. Reality!!

bs... that's just your opinion and bias masquerading as fact and your alternative reality.

Indoctrination is fun boys and girls... because without it you would have to acknowledge that dems were the racists.
