Dreamsglore wrote:I think it would be dishonest to say married people aren't attracted to others no matter how much you love your spouse. It takes a lot of character not to cheat in certain situations. Men are very visual beings and are attracted as well as women to more attractive people.People think they have solid marriages until it happens to them. Most men given an opportunity to have sex w/ someone they are attracted to and knowing they won't be found out...will do it. You can sit there all day and spout all the moral reasons you want why they won't but I believe you would be wrong.History has shown this.

I don't think history has shown that at all. I think history has shown that some men cheat...but a lot do not.

I don't think most affairs are about a man not being about to control himself because a woman is so beautiful.

Why men cheat:

http://men.webmd.com/features/why-men-cheat

48% of men rated emotional dissatisfaction as the primary reason they cheated.

66% of cheating men report feeling guilt during the affair.

77% of cheating men have a good friend who cheated.

40% of cheating men met the other woman at work.

Only 12% of cheating men said their mistress was more physically attractive than their wife.

Only 6% of cheating men had sex with a woman after meeting her that same day or night.

Maybe Mrs. Petraeus will divorce her cheating husband and then go nab half of his retirement pay using the Former Spouses Protection Act. I imagine, since he was a 4-star, it should amount to a nice chunk of change.

A lot of military retirees hate former Colorado Congreswoman Pat Schroeder for helping to author that law.

Turns out the cheatin' general was discussing causes of the Benghazi blow-up with his squeeze of the moment -- the militants evidently were p___off about a secret CIA prison and interrogation camp in Libya ...

Somebody, please explain to me why news pundits are all lauding Petraeus as a great, straight shooting general. His "surge" accomplished zero in Iraq -- where we pulled out with our tail between our legs, his forecasts for success in Afghanistan were as meaningful and credible as his marriage vows.

According to AP, the CIA is now stating they do not have or run a secret prison/torture chamber in Libya. Yeah, we're supposed to believe them, just like we were supposed to believe Petraeus ...

Face it, people lie. That includes every branch of the U.S. government. Did the government screw up in protecting its consulate in Benghazi? Of course. Everyone knows that. Don't expect truth from a government built on lying to the world as well as its people ... or should I say subjects? Reality

If you were someone affected by this BS, you wouldn't be chirping so loudly. My dad did 30 years in the Navy. His second wife who married him at 19 years and then decided to divorce my dad at 29.5 years (10 years of marriage is all that is required to get part of the retirement) ended up with 20% of his retirement pay. She wasn't even around for nearly 2/3 of his career, but gets 20%? WTF? That was over $400 at the time of the divorce and the beotch ran off with 85k in funds by the time she snuck off without notice and left.

If they were running it, it was under Obama's watch.

___________
Of course it was under Obama's watch. So is Guantanamo.
Remember, this so-called liberal-socialist has claimed the right to have you murdered by his agents, without legal review. Who said I liked everything about Obama anyway?

Who would be interested in keeping him from testifying?

Could well be President Barack Hussein Obama since General Petraeus' mistress said in a speech to the University of Denver that prisoners were being held at the Benghazi site. Secret prisons are something President Obama signed and Executive Order prohibited when he took office. You know, like he closed GITMO and moved all those prisoners to the United States and gave them Constitutional rights.

You know damn well it was NIMBY Republicans who blocked the closing of GITMO.

He isn't exactly Mr. Beautiful, himself.

Some 65% of married men in this country have had an affair at some time during their marriage. They did a survey.

Which would also mean 65% of married women have as well.

Only of the women they cheated with were married which is very doubtful.

Married women don't cheat with single men? Really?

I am not saying I am a chick magnet, but I never wore a wedding ring, and it often got me into very difficult situations which were embarassing. If I felt strongly about another woman, I would have gone to my wife and talked about my attraction. The idea of lying, is not different to me than cheating my customers, or walking into a store and taking something......the rationalization for the behavior could never justify the adventure.

I kept my vows not out of some great sacrifice to get laid regularly by younger women, rather by a belief that my actions would have simply been dishonest. If I needed something, I would have communicated the same to my life partner, and if she said go for it.....I would probably have been a dog.....but we are simply happy, and in the end it is not that complicated to understand that happiness is between the ears.

No, it was Obama would wanted to close it and found out that American citizens were going to be up in arms about bringing a butt ton of terrorists to America and holding them in our prisons.

I can't quite wrap my head around that one.

It doesn't in the long run. To this administration, they figured they could use the media to hush this up. The re-election committee, including all the mass media, wanted it kept quiet until after the election.

Then the Petraeus sex scandal came to light and it was imperative that it be kept quite until after the election. They knew that was one ingredient they could not keep under cover.

Are you feeling better? We've missed your...insight.

We fully understand why you would consider the freedom of 29 million people to mean having accomplished nothing. Shameful.

Here's what THIS administration had to say about Iraq.

"Could Be One of the Great Achievements of This Administration" The vice president said he’d been to Iraq 17 times and visits the country every three months or so. "I know every one of the major players in all the segments of that society" he said. "It's impressed me. I've been impressed how they have been deciding to use the political process rather than guns to settle their differences."
