Not that I am aware of, but if the affair has been going on for some time and/or if he has a history of affairs, then I find the timing interesting.
There is no way a man in his position could have carried on an affair in total secrecy...there were people who knew about this before this week.

Who what? Who knew?

A person in his position has aides and has a very tight schedule. Those who work close with him know where he's at and who he's with all the time. There is no way that no one else knew.

Also, it's been reported that not everyone at the CIA particularly liked him.

And no, I am not saying that Obama threw him under the bus.

Crazy? There is nothing crazy about questioning the timing of such revelations. From revelations about Bill Clinton's affairs, George Bush's DUI arrest days before the election, to Herman Cain's long time "girlfriend" --there is nothing crazy about questioning the timing of this kind of revelation.

Anyway, a conspiracy is something that's mostly made up. I think his affair was real.

The FBI got a tip and investigated. It's really, really stupid for a man in Petraeus' position to risk his career and marriage this way. Another very smart man who couldn't keep his pants zipped. It's a shame. But someone knew about it and tipped off the FBI.

Yes, I read that and I don't think it's the same as Petraeus testifying.

The timing is funny because next week he was going to testify to Congress about Benghazi and the Predator drone incident. Now he won't. Holder is gone soon too along with the Sec of the Treasury (Geithner). Hillary is on her way out as well. Cleaning house is what it looks like because there seems to be a lot of high crimes and treasonous acts that have come out of the admin.

The biographer was "embedded" with the General in Afghanistan. She is married, herself, with a couple of kids. Look at the problems this affair has brought onto both of them and their families.

Yes, the timing is interesting. The timing is always interesting on something like this when someone is about to testify, is running for office, etc.

I don't know why this should stop him from testifying. He was the director at the time of the attack and he should testify.
