What a terrible witness for the State. West should ask her if she is under the influence on any drug.

West is setting her up presently on a prior statement she told a investigator. Now, She doesnt remember saying that. Looks like the State was coaching her testimony.

The State in in deep sh*t if they think this witness helps them.

If she really is their star witness and they were depending on her testimony to win their case, I think that the prosecution is in trouble.
I watched some of the trial yesterday, with her on the stand. The camera would sometimes cut to her parents. Trayvon's poor father just hung his head down during a lot of her testimony. I think he realizes that she's not helping the case at all.

The testimony is giving me a headache.

She is most certainly an unusual witness. The defense is doing a good job bringing her anger out..........which could neutralize her testimony. The prosecutors however may be able to focus on objective information and timelines of the 911 and her information. It really is unclear who this is going to benefit, but one common sense thing said today is he would have gotten off the phone if he was going to control a fight.....but this opens the door to prior fights which the defense has wanted in.......I think the defense keeping her on the stand this long is going to allow the jury to be more sympathetic to her the longer she talks......at first.....I cannot see the jury having a very good impression of this witness.......the more she talked....the more common sense her answers were......he would have hung up the phone first if he was going to fight......this makes a bunch of sense.

They found recording of fights on martins cell phone.  He may have wanted to record the fight to show his friends.

Star witness, Rachel Jeantel, scrubs Twitter account of troubling/incriminating comments.

From what I've read of a pending witness named John Good who actually came out and witnessed the fight it will be all over for the prosecution. Good actually saw Martin on top of Zimmerman pounding him.

That may be a very good point........however, can you talk on the phone and run your camera on your smart phone? I do no think mine can do that and I have the new Note 2 Samsung phone.......I may be wrong, but as terrible as this witness was.......some of her testimony seems to be logical and consistent.

Can you tell me how wet grass sounds..........wet........I cannot wait to see what the late night comedians do with this question and response.

That's a good point about crying for help if you have a gun in your pocket. I hadn't thought of that, but I'm not watching the trial either.

I do not know who is crying for help......but even with a gun in my pocket, if suddenly I have somebody beating me such that I cannot get to the gun......I think a person could scream for help........but logically, one would not think a person with a gun in their pocket would be yelling for help.

I need a great deal more testimony and tapes to even venture a guess at this juncture.

According to Zimmerman's statements when Martin was on top of him and banging his head on the concrete he tried to roll over to the grass and his shirt went up revealing the gun. He said Martin went for his gun and he got it first and that's when he shot him.

The photo of Zimmerman from the police cell phone was cleverly introduced in the state's case.....very very good move in regards to showing the damage to zimmerman as picked up by the police officer's cell phone because the witness did not want the shooter to see him. Clearly, Zimmerman has a broken nose.........and swollen lips......but the timeline has not been put in place. This should be interesting as to how long was the period between the shot and the police arriving. Omara by putting this photo in now, has hijacked the State's case in chief, and all evidence will be weighed with the obvious damage to Zimmerman's face.

Add in the media doctoring photos to shade out details of the injury and all of the inflammatory headlines and race baiting... I'll still be impressed if a jury finds him innocent. The president of the united states of america even weighed in against zimmerman... I don't recall that in the notorious cases I've seen referenced here.

I think Martin's family has tried to manipulate her, use her for their advantage. Pretty stupid deleting the tweets, as if she was hiding some thing. West is going to recall her & get her. Wait and see.

2seaoat

oh oh.....wasting time on tweets.....blind leading the blind.....thank goodness this was outside the presence of the jury.

The defense is pretty good. They established the loud aggressive angry voice was heard first right before the confrontation by the witness Surdyka. The girl on the phone testified she heard Trayvon speak first. Both witnesses are pointing to Trayvon as angry and aggressive.

Where is Al Sharpton now? There should be plenty of cameras to get his mug in front of.

Probably very happy that the American justice system is working.
