Absolutely, especially if you are having punches thrown, your head pounded, or the fact you are a set up for a choke hold. Professionals have a hard time defending themselves....can you imagine someone with a little knowledge and no experience?

Damn.
Punches raining down, in a choke hold, and despite all that, the presence of mind to reach underneath himself, unholster his firearm, and shoot the kid through the chest.
Amazing ...
... some might say incredible.

That statement is patently false and pathetic. It proves you are not a fan of UFC or MMA bouts.
What motivates your blathering?

Oh Sal, I was justifying the need for professionals to tap out of a ground and pound.....of course they can tap out because they have a ref controlling the fight.
Zimmerman reached for his weapon because he was in fear for his life....the holster he had didn't look like much at all. No way could you consider Zimmerman a MMA fighter....not even an armature.

Full mount: the most dangerous position for the bottom fighter to be in. Your opponent is sitting on your chest straddling you with one leg to each of your sides. Low mount is when he is sitting on your abdomen, high mount when his knees are in your armpits. What makes the position dangerous is that it is difficult to buck your opponent off, roll or sweep him. In the meantime he will likely come down with hammerfists and elbows, or work for a kimura, arm triangle, armbar, or choke hold.

....Zimmerman. But....did he ever spar or get in the ring with an opponent? No he did not. Having knowledge is not the same thing and being in a street fight. Not for amateurs that have never fought competitively. Competitive fighting is still controlled fighting.Sal wrote:Who took MMA training?

...How is it rationalizing. The guy never sparred because he was not capable, the instructor testified to that.Sal wrote:Joanimaroni wrote:....Zimmerman. It's amazing the lengths you're willing to go to defend this loser.

Yet, he was able to survive raining blows to the head, his head being bashed into concrete, and a good ol' fashioned choking out, with the presence of mind to,reach underneath himself, unholster his weapon, and shoot the kid through the chest.
Do you believe in fairy tales?

OMG........Go back and read my post. I was talking about a tap out in MMA fighting. Not Zimmerman and Martin.

So, you don't believe Zimmo's story.

Why do you continue to disregard my posts that only seem to bolster your opinion?
She doesn't just believe in fairy tales, she lives in one where people who disagree with her are reduced to subhuman status.
The links I posted not only show the consequence of real conflict, they demonstrate that the entire head smashing BS is a false premise.
There was NO there, there. Zimmy is a pussy who asked for something he was not ready to deal with.
I have yet to hear anyone explain why the dead kid's knuckles were not mangled by raining down 2 dozen strikes on that big stupid baby doll head.
It's just not possible.
