I think there might be a slight difference between the two scenarios.

In one incident you've got a guy sitting in his car when a lunatic stops and runs back and goes to beating on him. And then the lunatic goes back to his car for a pipe and is coming back to finish the job.

And in the second incident, you've got a crazed redneck who chases a pickup for 40 minutes and then pulls the driver out and goes to beating on him.

My "law" would charge both the lunatic and the redneck with attempted murder. And if either the lunatic or the redneck gets blown away at the scene, then society is better off for it.

I won't even question your results, but I would question the legal leg on which you took your stand.

Where and how a gun is transported in a vehicle can make a world of difference.

Those issues are exactly why I do not carry a gun.

However, with my privacy compromised and the hatred exhibited towards me by several other posters who openly brag about their own usage of a gun, I have considered a CCW permit.

Oh hell yeah. They had a strong influence from American C&W. They covered Buck Owens' Act Naturally, and Rocky Raccoon is pretty much straight out country.

At the same time they were topping the charts over there, Slim Whitman was huge.

By the way, that was the very first recording made by what would become the Beatles.
They traveled from Liverpool to London and paid £5 to get it recorded.

One copy each was made for each band member and all but one kept their copies for no more than a week.
At the time, one of the band members was Duff Lowe. Lowe kept his copy for nearly 25 years. In 1981, Lowe attempted to sell it at auction, but McCartney intervened and purchased it from him. McCartney had engineers restore as much of the record's sound quality as possible and then made approximately 50 copies of the single that he gave as personal gifts to family and friends. In 2004, Record Collector magazine named the original pressing as the most valuable record in existence, estimating its worth at £100,000, with the 1981 copies made by McCartney coming in second on the list at £10,000 each.
