As she was doing her pontification at the 2013 CPAC, Sarah Palin was sipping a Big Gulp from 7-Eleven. I wonder if she was paid residuals by 7-Eleven for being associated with their brand?

She did a great job of ridiculing the Nanny State Progressives, led by Mayor Bloomberg who thinks it is governments place to make decisions on what their subjects eat and how much.

For a change I rather enjoyed her diatribes . . . . . . . it was almost like a series akin to Rodney Dangerfield's one liners . . . .

I don't see what all the fuss is about. I always get the monster size (44 ounce) soft drink from Circle K. Because any size drink is the same price, 69 cents. It's a no brainer. Why would I get a puny size drink when it cost the same 69 cents.
BUT, like most normal people, I get the Coke Zero or Pepsi Max which of course does not have any sugar in it. The amount you buy don't mean squat if it don't have no sugar in it.

Socrates should have also included racism in his comment about the race being lost. From the looks of the hopelessly racist KFC photoshopped ignorant picture to the very unflattering pic of the First Lady we can see you have nothing constructive or factual to offer.

I think this is the first time I have ever complained about a post being racist but this is just disgusting to the max. Just get over it! We have a black president!!

He could come up with the most wonderful things and you fools would chop off your stuck up myopic noses to spite your faces. I swear you all take the cake.

PS Wait until you see the cover of the next Vogue Magazine with Michelle on the cover. I bet it will be beautiful.

Although it must be nice that Bloomberg has solved all the problems in order to deal with large soft drinks and loud headphones...

Yeah, so long as you chug 40 or 50 cans a day for several years.

Also, explain that to one of the burgeoning numbers of people with type II Diabetes.

Okay I see we need to do a reality check.

The reality is that I have been putting 4 packs of aspartame (the blue colored packs) in an 18 ounce glass of tea for at least the past 25 years.
But that doesn't even begin to tell the story until you know that I drink on average about 8 of those glasses of tea each and every day of my life and have been doing so for that whole 25 years.
That means I'm consuming 32 packs of the stuff every day. 224 packs every week. 896 packs every month. Over ten thousand packs every year.
And that means over the course of the last 25 years I have consumed somewhere in the neighborhood of 268,000 packs of aspartame (brand name "Equal"). Are you getting that? That's a quarter million packs of the stuff.
Each pack holds 1 gram. 1 gram is equal to 0.035274 ounce.
I HAVE CONSUMED 590 POUNDS OF ASPARTAME. THAT'S ALMOST 1/3 OF A TON OF THE STUFF. I'VE CONSUMED 3 TIMES MY BODY WEIGHT OF ASPARTAME.

If Alex Jones and all those "internet scientists" and assorted other crackpots are right that aspartame is a "poision", I should have been dead about 200,000 packs ago.
But instead, I have no ill effects from it whatsoever. That's the reality and I don't give a flying goddamn shit what Alex Jones or those "internet scientists" or those other crackpots keep telling you.

By the way, I never heard it mentioned whether Bloomberg's 16 ounce limit also applies to "diet" sodas.
So I just googled it. And no it doesn't.
The Bloomberg limit applies to "sugary beverages". Here's how they define that...

"According to the city, it’s a drink with more than 25 calories per eight ounces, which has either been sweetened by the manufacturer or mixed with another caloric sweetener. The ban did not apply to pure fruit juice or fruit smoothies, drinks that are more than half milk, calorie-free diet sodas or alcoholic beverages. Milkshakes, if they were more than half milk or ice cream, were exempt. But sweetened coffee drinks, if less than half milk, were not. (Frappucinos were a source of confusion as late as last week.)"

So let's say you go to a convenience store with a fountain soft drink dispenser (such is the case in every modern day convenience store you go into).
The question I have is how in the fuck does the clerk know if you put Diet Coke or regular Coke in that 40 ounce cup? How in the name of hell was that supposed to be enforced? Does anyone know?

I surely didn't get that from Alex Jones. I don't have the reverence for him that Teo does. I do, however, trust this guy:

My sister is diabetic. She uses Truvia. Try it.
