When I want something to happen, I'm willing to work for it.
Sometimes when I really want it to happen a lot, it doesn't, like when Wesley Clark ran for president. But I did everything I could to help.
That way, it doesn't hurt as much.
Al Gore lost Florida by 400 votes. Just a few more volunteers and we might not have lost thousands of American lives in an unending war and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis wouldn't have lost their children.
I don't need any mental help Deus. I know what I think is important. I also know it's not about me. It's about people a lot younger than me.
You want to change the subject. That's what Republicans do, Deus.
Did you ever notice? It's what they ALWAYS do.
The defense rests. Get some help.
"I" will respect "YOUR" opinion when "You" have taken as many college psych courses as I have or when you've become a crisis intervention specialist and actually worked in the field. You only have to work a couple of years to catch up with me, so if you start now, you might be able to get that degree and that job by the time the 2024 election comes around.
Oh, and you'll have to do some volunteer work too, quite a few years of that. I'd also advise hanging around with a lot of special needs kids for about 20 years while you are at it, the ones that the Republicans want to take health care away from. "You" might just learn something that way.
But maybe you'll live long enough.
I'm proudly 69 years old, Deus.I'm not a narcissist, but no one makes me feel inferior without my consent.
An old, unattractive, Democratic woman said that first, and she was married to FDR. She was the greatest woman of the 20th century and also one of the least physically attractive people I could ever think of.
She defined grace. I don't and I only know a couple of other people who do. What they have in common is they care about pretty much everybody and everything around them.
But like I said, I'm not full of grace and I don't really give a shit whether you want to help the people you vote for get elected or not.
Everybody has a right to sit on the sidelines and whine when their team doesn't win. That's your job. Hope you like it.
