Downtown Chicago at 3:30PM was a zoo. I was supposed to have gotten my shots at 2:30 but they were a half hour late as folks were caught in traffic. I barely got to the Expressway as the streets were full of people with their cub jackets and hats. I have a photo of the two lions in front of the Art Museum with Chicago Cub hats on......insane. This is probably the biggest deal in Chicago and Cleveland in quite a few years. Just sat down to a 1-1 tie.

I heard that Cub merchandise was seven times the sales of any other baseball franchise this year. WGN the super station created a great many cub fans all over America. As a Sox fan and a baseball fan, about 30 of the last 35 years the Cubs were the worst team in baseball. Their fans are long suffering. This is a big deal. I hope win or lose the folks enjoy the evening, stay sober, and do not damage any property or hurt any people........folks have been drinking since noon.

Kluber looks tired.

Might be the Cubs time.

4-1 with the good pitching is a tall order, but man is this a great series. I love these young kids doing so well. I do not think that I have seen a better infield in the world series in fifty plus years I have been following the same. The Cubs kids are mostly 24 and under and they will be back for the next five or six years.....However, I will never count the Indians out of it.

How cool was the Ross home run.....it does not get much better than this......I apologize for the quality of the photo, but you will see one of the two lions guarding the Art Museum with a Cub hat on......World Series - Page 5 20161110

Chicago Sports radio all day was concerned about a two hour rain delay. The system went through Chicago and they dreaded that this would force the Cubs to use their bullpen. I cannot believe that this game is going to keep America on edge until after midnight. It does not get much better than this. I think Joe expected super human performance out of Chapman, and Sports radio was second guessing him all day. He still is brilliant in my book.

Chapman made it through the ninth....I think he can do it.

Those young Cub bats are hard to silence. The Indians are backed into a corner and more rain is coming.

I am happy for Chicago, but for a Sox fan this is like painful that our team started the year with the best record and totally collapsed.

Good management and ownership group can turn around any franchise. There are objective standards for success, and these folks were the best. Epstein is a genius. How he put together the best infield I have seen in my lifetime, and these kids are mostly significantly below 25 years of age.......we are talking about a dynasty.
