My first Pink Floyd album was 1968 saucerful of Secrets.....I think it is the most unknown of their albums and their best.......corporal Clegg was a classic and you never hear it played.

I have been called a sheep by T for years because I call a spade a spade......this sheep scared the big bad wolf off by mere words......why would he hate the label Nazi when he spews the essence of Nazi doctrine on these forums and the PNJ.   When he posts interesting subjects he is a joy, but Nazis do not go away....they spread like a cancer when good people do not confront the disease......Ike's Jewish blood was responsible for killing German POWs............putrid farts.....you call it anything you want.....pure nazi farts.....

my dad's family were all farmers. during ww2, they had german pow's that worked on the farm and lived in a nearby camp. when the war ended, most of them did not want to go back to the father land. the lucky ones were allowed to stay here.

My father in 1925 had an apprenticeship in England.  Post world war 1 Germany was hard and at 17 he had a great opportunity.  The company he worked for had an opportunity in America, and in 1926 he immigrated to America.  His brother Art joined him in 1927 and they worked as machinist, eventually they bought three gas stations and did the mechanics and became naturalized citizens in 1934.   They both found a great deal of success in the American dream, but they saw their family destroyed by the war..........the war was hell, and we did bomb hospitals.........and my grandmother's hatred was based on first hand experience being at the hospitals after bombings.......but where was she and other good Germans when Hitler and his kind began spewing their hatred........it was easy to not speak up.....it always is easy not to rock the boat.......and when the world goes up in flames......it simply could have been avoided if good Germans simply stood up.   From 1860 until 1940 Germans made up some of the greatest numbers of immigrants to this country, and like every immigrant group they faced prejudice, but like every other immigrant group they melted into the American pot, and made this country stronger.

In turn the United States government turned on the German-Americans that did stand up and filled US uniforms by enacting the Sedition Acts.

NOTE: German-American's composed over fifty percent of the United States population during both those wars.

An apology and compensation for what was done to the German-American people of this country is long overdue from the United States government.

They might start by erecting a monument to the German-American soldiers of WWI and WWII in view of the White House.
