Cramer adds: “Forty years ago, the United States Supreme Court sanctioned abortion on demand. And we wonder why our culture sees school shootings so often.”

Really?

I watched the entire video. He's talking about the culture of not putting a high value on life. He sees no difference in aborting unborn babies than he does in killing school children. I get what he's saying even though he didn't say it well. You could argue that it's a huge leap from abortion to school killings but people who think that life starts at conception do not see a difference. I do not think it's wacky to believe that life starts at conception.

People have a lot of false beliefs.

What is false to you is true to someone else. What's true to you is false to someone else. That doesn't necessarily make it wacky.

It does to me and what counts to me is my opinion. I don't care about other peoples.

Then why do you post on a forum?

Why do I post on a forum? It's not to get other people's opinions, if that's what you're getting at.

Well, that's what we mostly all post on here--our opinions. So I am just curious as to what brings you here.

While they're helping you out I would like to get some help on something too.

How can a Christian be so upset with aborting a fetus, when the very God he worships killed all the first born children of an entire society to punish the misdeeds of their parents? And I'm not talking about fetuses. I'm talking about ALL the first-born children regardless of how long they'd been out of the womb. Not to mention he killed all the first-born offspring of all living creatures as well as the humans. All to punish the people who were guilty who he let live.
Why would any Christian believe that this same God would give a crap about abortion?

Bob, people believe that horseshit. I'm telling you the shit is senseless. Who wants to worship a God who does that? It's ridiculous.

If we are talking sensibilities here... lets get down to the brass tacks. If you want to live off the kindness of others... you don't do it through the force of the federal government of the united states of america. That isn't charity.

You're right, it is a subjective call as to whether or not the government should or should not provide anything for the indigent.

But let's put your views to the test in a real-world scenario.
What if a homeless person is sick and suffering and will die without medical care?
And I think it's a difficult argument to make that private charity will always provide that homeless person medical care.
So in 1986 the federal government enacted ENTALA. That mandated emergency treatment for the indigent.

It comes down to either being in favor of that level of "socialism", or being in favor of letting human beings be sick and suffer and die.
Which would you choose?

The facts are if PKr was in a different position than he is now it would be a whole nother story. Simple as that.

Well the problem with all that is this. The clay pots use the potter as their guide for making laws all the time. I'm constantly hearing the clay pots say "the Constitution is inspired by the potter".
So why are the clay pots not using the potter as a model and enacting laws which provide for the execution of the first-born child of a murderer to punish his crime? if it's good enough for the potter then surely it should be good enough for the pots.
Frankly, and this goes for all jews and all christians in every nation in the history of the world, I have never seen one jewish or christian nation make laws that provide for execution of children to punish adults. If I was the potter I would be very disappointed that the clay pots are not following my example on that. Would probably have to smite the lot of those clay pots for being so impudent.

Some see life beginning at conception... some at the first trimester... some at the second... some at the checkout desk.

If this is going to be a subjective argument... I guess I'll just go with when a person can sustain themselves unless they receive the willing charity of another person. Y'all can pretend that a nanny state is a sustainable model... but history and reality say otherwise.

I only say that abortion should be limited to the first trimester because there are women who will want an abortion. This is a concession. I know enough about the psychology of developing fetuses to know there's much more going on than simple cell dividing after a certain stage in the fetuses development. Therefore my stance is that the sooner the woman has it done the better and she'd best make up her mind quick.

My philosophy however is that it's alive the day it was conceived.

My beliefs and therefore it drives my stance and the reason for saying it best be done quickly.

If I had my way, and that punk who shot up the school was publically tortured to death, I promise you there would be fewer school shootings.
So how does my "pro-choice" stance on abortion lead to more school shootings?

I have no reason to torture an animal just because it's insane.

The same applies here... It should be done quickly and painlessly just like one would do with a mad dog.

Yes as God knew David as he was knit together in his mothers womb he knows us all and I have little doubt he likes our hindering the progression of life for our little reasons....each heart full of promise and possibility no matter how tiny....but how inconvenient, you just wanted the orgasm not the little one.

More likely he wanted the orgasm.

Yes the "liberals" or "progressives" or whatever the label du jour is, do have some good ideas and that is one of them. At least in my humble opinion. I don't even want to see an in injured animal have to suffer and die just because he doesn't have a veterinary health insurance policy or the cash in his paw to pay the vet, let alone do I want to see a human being have to suffer and die for the same reason.

BUT, the "conservatives" also have some good ideas. For example, I happen to think it's a good idea to be what is labelled fiscally conservative. And for me all that means is not living beyond our means as a country (which progressaliberals could care less about).
I also believe "conservatives" (the real ones) have a good idea in not wanting a bloated, out of control, inefficient and wasteful big government bureacracy to get bigger and bigger.
And I firmly believe in true honest capitalism and competition and free enterprise being far superior to monopolistic government enterprise which I also share with true conservatives.
Hell that's the shit I practiced all my life. The REAL capitalism. I didn't rely on anything except my own wits and my own labor to make a living.

So it seems to me that instead of this all out war between two extremely limiting labels which is providing no solution to anything, maybe we could benefit from a new approach which doesn't depend on sticking to those labels. And in reality that all out war is often just pro wrastlin because the so-called liberals and so-called conservatives are in bed together anyway on most of the crap that is destructive to our society. The fucking war is sometimes nothing more than Limbaugh vs Ed Schultz and that's about as real as Hulk Hogan vs whoever his wrastlin opponent is.

Dreamy is right... if I was weak... and I might be in the near future. I can only realistically expect to live another fifteen years or so. I'm not afraid to die. I can't move like I want to now. You should hear my knees when I stand up... lol.

Bob... first of all the referendum was long ago settled. The other question I think you know the answer to. The govt should only have the minimum scope necessary to ensure our fair/safe treatment (snake oil)... and as an impartial arbiter incase of grievance.

Well admittedly this is the one thing where I differ with you and conservatives and liberals and just about every one else. And I realize none of you will ever come over to my side on it.

But I just don't much care about "insanity" when the insane butcher innocent people.
As long as the insane are hole up in their own little world I have no problem with them. But once they come into the civilized world and start shooting babies and shooting people in a movie theater and blowing people's legs off on a public street, then I honest to god do not give one goddamn shit about their insanity being any excuse. I believe in an an eye for an eye and that goes for the sane, the insane, lepers, hunchbacks, rich people, poor people, queers, or any other category. Even those who come from a deprived childhood. I want their eye just as much as the next one.

Works for me. See it's not that hard to find compromise on this and that one should be all that's needed.

And then we can dispense with all the extremism to the left and to the right. And we can do away with those goddamn labels "pro-life" and "pro-choice".

Congratulations. You've just begun a new movement. One that has no labels and no extremist ideology and no media bloviators bloviating at the tops of their voices. And no kooks trying to tie us to school shootings.

Let's just call it common sense and stop with that.
