Actor Jamie Foxx recently had some extremely favorable words for President Barack Obama — words that are typically reserved for church sermons and personal prayers. The Oscar winner made his curious statements about the nation’s commander-in-chief at the Soul Train Music Awards, which aired on Sunday. During an on-stage appearance, he referred to Obama as “our lord and savior.”

Considering that many have quipped about Obama’s standing among his supporters — celebrities in particular — as a deity of sorts, this statement, though likely said in jest, is surely going to make its rounds.

“First of all, give an honor to God and our lord and savior Barack Obama,” Foxx proclaims in the clip.

Newsbusters reports that the actor’s words were used as a preview by BET, the network that aired the Soul Train Music Awards, leading up to the event. Conservative blogger Noel Sheppard wrote, in response to Foxx’s words, “I guess Obama really IS the messiah.”

On Monday, TheBlaze alerted readers to a new painting that depicts Barack Obama as Jesus Christ crucified, adorned with a crown of thorns. The work, entitled “Truth,” is part of a larger exhibit at the Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery in Boston titled “Artists on the Stump – the Road to the White House 2012.” This, of course, is not the first controversial rendition that has been labeled “artwork,” nor is it the first time President Obama has been likened to Christ, or in general, God.

Now, the creator of “Truth,” Michael D’Antuono, said that his “First Amendment rights should override someone’s hurt feelings” and that “we should celebrate the fact that we live in a country where we are given the freedom to express ourselves.”

After receiving roughly 4,000 angry emails over the painting, D’Antuono also said he respects “their right to express themselves” and hopes they will afford him the same.

With this in mind, Glenn Beck chose to “express himself,” during his Tuesday evening broadcast by featuring a piece of artwork of his own creation.

Watch the clip, sure to make a splash, via TheBlaze TV here:

At some point, Beck decided that submerging an Obama “bobblehead” doll in urine (later revealed to be completely fake) was necessary to convey his artistic message. He of course realizes this will be controversial and that many will find his use of the Obama figurine to be disrespectful. The idea, for Beck however, is not to be untoward, but through irony, to highlight the hypocrisy of those who would shout in defiance at defacing the image of a sitting U.S. president, but not that of an image so sacred to Christianity — the world’s largest religion.

Of course, Beck’s “art” is similar to the infamous anti-Christian photograph titled “Piss Christ,” showing a small plastic crucifix soaked in the artist’s real urine.

Here’s a visual representation of how it all went down:

Beck’s “artwork” also highlights the hypocrisy of those who rail against disparaging Islam’s Prophet Muhammad. If his image were defaced in the same way as Christ’s has been so many times, the backlash could indeed be deadly and the “artist” in question pursued by U.S. law enforcement (as was the case for the creators of the YouTube video “Innocence of Muslims).

Beck did reach out to D’Antuono, inviting him on the program to discuss the First Amendment. As of Tuesday afternoon, TheBlaze has not confirmed whether or not that invitation has been accepted.

“Truth” is set to remain on display until Dec. 15. Beck, meanwhile, is considering putting his latest artwork up for auction (the price tag says $25,000).

I personally think that the conservative bloggers should stick to what they know, whatever that is, and give up on comments about artistic statements which fall under the heading of things they most certainly don't understand.

It would be like Glenn Beck or O'Reilly giving lessons in how to be cool, or dance, or understand science.

EBAY YANKS BECK’S ‘OBAMA IN PEE PEE’ ART PROJECT MEANT TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY

The popular online auction site eBay has yanked a piece of artwork done by Glenn Beck citing its belief that the project featured an Obama figurine floating in actual urine (it was not, however). Bids can now be emailed in the subject line to the following email address set up by Beck: obamapeepee@glennbeck.com

On Tuesday evening, Glenn Beck featured an Obama bobble head doll in a jar of yellow liquid, meant as a parody of the controversial “artwork” that defaced a crucifix in a glass of urine. Beck’s piece was meant to highlight the hypocrisy of those who rail against disparaging figures who they hold dear, but do not hold themselves to the same standard when disparaging figures others hold dear.

Beck was auctioning the jar, complete with the Obama doll, on the auction site, with all the proceeds set to go to Beck’s Mercury One charity. At the last entry its bid was up to $11,300. On Wednesday morning, however, eBay removed the auction page.

CRITICS GO BERSERK, HURL INSULTS AT BECK OVER ‘OBAMA IN PEE PEE’: ‘FUCKWIT,’ ‘WORSE THAN FECES’ & ‘ENJOY HELL’

Many on the left are reeling after radio and television host Glenn Beck exercised his First Amendment rights in the creation of his own Obama-themed piece of art. As TheBlaze reported on Tuesday, Beck submerged an Obama “bobblehead” doll in faux urine. His reasoning? To highlight the hypocrisy of individuals who would decry his creation, yet defend the desecration of Christian themes (like this image of a crucified Obama).

Obviously, as noted by TheBlaze’s Tiffany Gabbay, Beck’s project is similar to the infamous anti-Christian photograph titled “Piss Christ,” showing a small plastic crucifix soaked in the artist’s real urine.

The reaction to his “art” has been swift, with left-of-center outlets lambasting the action and with Twitter users hurling slurs at Beck. One individual took to the social media platform to call the host “disgusting and disrespectful” and a “F**kwit.” Another promised to “slap” the commentator if she ever encounters him in person. And yet another dubbed him “WORSE than feces.” Here are some of these responses, as captured by Twitchy:

Jamie Foxx says, "Give an honor to.... our Lord and Savior Barrack Obama" - Then Glenn Beck puts a bobble-head figure of Obama in a jar of piss(?). Now that's art! LOL Responses-542x620

Of course, the Twitter rants didn’t end there. Someone else told Beck, “I hope you enjoy hell as*hole.” Another more sinister message read, “I’d like to put ‘Beck’ in his jar urine with his GOP buddies. Then put an air tight lid on it.” Discussion wasn’t limited only to Twitter.

New York Magazine took aim at the host and Gawker’s Taylor Berman called Beck a “liar,” writing the following:

Now that he’s cornered the denim market, noted patriot Glenn Beck has set his sights on an even more lucrative business. As part of a bizarre campaign to prove the importance of the first amendment, Beck filled a jar with what he at first claimed to be urine (he later admitted it was beer) and then placed an Obama toy inside. He has plans to sell the “art,” which Beck titled “Obama in Pee Pee,” on his website for the reasonable price of $25,000.
The stunt was prompted by a Boston artist who painted Obama crucified on the cross. You know, like Jesus. Naturally, Beck and his ilk didn’t approve of the painting but, being theunstable person freethinker he is, Beck decided to show his support for the artist’s first amendment right by sealing a toy of Obama inside a jar of fake piss.

However, what these outlets and social media users seem to be missing is that this action was taken to show hypocrisy among those who would condemn Beck over his Obama-centric art, yet support (or remain silent) when artwork disparaging Christ is created.

Additionally, as Gabbay noted, it highlights the hypocrisy of those who rail against disparaging Islam’s Prophet Muhammad. These same individuals remain silent or typically ignore the same treatment of Jesus and Christian symbolism.

Beck was auctioning the jar, complete with the Obama doll, on eBay — however the sale was removed on Wednesday (proceeds were set to go to Beck’s Mercury One charity).

And if you're REALLY a fool, don't forget to buy everyone on your Christmas list a pair of beck's $160 jeans. Nothing covers your ass like ass-wear from beck.

Skid-marks from the "designer" available as an option....proceeds from those artsy wet-fartsy skidmark sales go to a secret charity yet to be revealed.

Scratch-n-sniff option sold separately...void where prohibited...battery snot included.

FTR, I was pretty outraged over that jerk's "P-Christ".

This latest stunt by beck is par for the course of a proven plagiarist. His head is where original thoughts go to die.

He's the current Morton Downey, Jr.....on steroids and meth.

I am very happy that President Obama is being put in a bottle of symbolic piss, because the alternative would have been President Romney pissing on America......and there would have been no symbolism.....he actually would have pissed on America.....and then tell us that the drought had been cured, that the ammonia was good for the crops, and that his delivery system was not a fire hose. clown clown clown

As you all might imagine, many of my friends are liberals. Also, many of them are artists.

I know of no one in either group who give a hoot about what Glenn Beck does with his bobble heads or pretend piss. He is irrelevant at this point having lost his fox speaker system.

He will no doubt continue to appeal to the small minority of people who find him entertaining or whatever but as far as him making a political/artistic statement along these lines... Sleep

That is the point.

And, Obama is NOT Christ. I know some people worship him in that way, but there really is no comparison. Then you have Jamie Foxx saying "honor our lord and savior.....Barrack Obama", and you have to wonder what goes through peoples minds that say BS like that.

I hate to be the one to break this to you but, why do you think Glenn Beck did it? Because of the silence and tollerance from the Progressives when they considered Jesus, in a bottle of urine, "art" just a few months back.

As you know, he opted out of the Fox arrangement so he could move his entire operation out of New York and to Texas.

From there he does his 3-hour daily syndicated radio and one of the worlds largest most popular, Internet TV network, and his website. It started in Tampa on one station, was syndicated to 40 and now over 400 stations air the show.

Ah yes...the beckheads should be so proud of him defrauding the most vulnerable of his flock.

Beck-backed gold fraud?

“Goldline specifically targets vulnerable consumers with sales tactics designed to pressure those consumers into buying products that would often result in the consumer losing over one-third of his or her investment the instant the purchase is made meaning that, even when the price of the precious metals increases, because these consumers were deceived into purchasing coins with mark-ups exceeding 50 percent, it could be years, if ever, before the consumer recoups, much less makes any profit on, the investment.”
