True story.
A couple weeks ago I cleaned out my cupboard for the first time in many years.
In the back of it was a box of Twinkies I had bought for my mother when she was still alive (she loved them). I figure it was three or four years old. I opened the box and looked at them and they looked to still be perfectly fine but I don't eat that stuff anymore (diabetes).
If only the Twinkies story had broken just a little sooner damnit. Now a box full of money sits in the landfill somewhere.

How does this strike you? Its another case of the Ceo getting the mine and the employees getting the shaft.

Come on. You didn't even take a bite? I would've had to. Even with diabetes couldn't you take just one bite? My Dad cheated every now and then. Then again, he isn't with us any more. It is your life and health. Didn't mean to butt in. Laughing

Y'all do know that all the recipes and manufacturing processes are assets that will be sold early on, putting them right back into production.

These symbols of cheap American decadence and artery paste will be right up their next to the Velveeta and Spam by summer.

And yes, you CAN make something with all three:

Yum yum. Maybe add bacon, maple syrup, peanut butter and an egg over easy. Yum yum.

Sugar is toxic--I found this out last Thursday after watching a lecture online. I have not had any candy, soda, or other sweetened treats since then--went off it cold-turkey.

Today, I had low blood sugar, and instead of reaching for the Hershey bar that still sits in my desk, I ate two satsuma oranges (off our own tree), some baby carrots, and a big handfull of peanuts.

Until last Thursday, sugar made up at least 300 calories of my daily food intake.

So, no Twinkes for me....

Actually it was my girlfriend. She won't even allow me to open a can which has an expiration date a week too long. I try to tell her that's all in her head but she's so stubborn that I get tired of arguing about it.

The above was the rage at the Iowa State Fair this last summer.

Deep fried butter on a stick.

Now I'm not exactly a gourmet chef but that doesn't even sound good to me... Oh well...

I never liked Twinkies. The cake part just isn't very good tasting to me. Now, a Little Debbie Oatmeal Pie...yum.

Well, if you're going to let a woman rule your world, go for broke!

It was something my Dad told me. Take from it what you will.

But, come on. You've been around the block. You know how to sneak sweets right?

OMG! Does your girlfriend read this forum?

Sorry. Very Happy

Ohhh Vector...you're so bad!. Anything with condensed milk has to be heavenly! Poor Bob, I hope he didn't read your recipes...

Hubby doesn't eat bread pudding so I don't make it. But last month we spent a couple of nights aboard the Delta Queen. Their restaurant had bread pudding on the menu and I did splurge and ordered it. It was excellent. Smile
