The impetus is now on you to show that the figure I sourced is inaccurate.

Your "source" was the article and unlike more reputable sources where, when they quote a particular figure, they provide the sources as to where it came from.

This group has no clue where the figure comes from or if it is in the least bit accurate but it FEELS GOOD to they so they blindly defend the rubbish. They can't find a source or they'd post it with pride.
