Min wage isn't meant to be a permanent wage and it isn't meant to raise a family on. It's a starting wage for someone with no training and no experience. Very few people who have been in the work force for more than a year or so are still being paid min wage. You can call me an idiot but I think the idiots are the ones who think that a high school kid or a person with no experience should walk into any low level job where they have no training and expect $15 an hour.Wordslinger wrote:Get real: thousands of "new" jobs are part-time only in order for big thieves like Mcdonald's et al to increase profits by not paying healthcare costs.Nekochan wrote:Inflation or not, $15 an hour for an entry level, no college education or training needed....is ridiculous.
And college graduates have to wait in line for these "entry level" jobs.
You really believe an American worker can survive on today's minimum wage?
Even at $15 an hour you're still making less than $30,000 a year.
It's idiots like you who keep Walmart laughing all the way to the bank.
