Playing The Race Card

If George Zimmerman had been an African American this would have never made the national news coverage it received. It's really a race issue that's being exploited.

Are you implying the media manipulated ALL these people because they don't have the capacity to think for themselves, or could it be that they see this through a set of eyes and experiences that some whites simply don't have?

By the way, for those that insist that Hispanic is a race I guess because they don't "appear" white to you, understand that they can be capable of racial profiling too.

     Wonder how 'those' numbers break down to the individuals that see race issues in every matter...Give an example of when Al...Jesse...NAACP..Congressional Black Caucas and other politicians DIDN'T attempt to make something into a race issue.....The media cannot be discounted they (NBC/CNN) LIED and manipulated/edited the facts of the case and got caught and that's not opinion it's fact....Name an incident were the above listed flame throwers ever entered into a situation and their influence had a POSITIVE effect.....Lastly based on your closing sentence...name the race that is not capable of racial profiling or being predjudiced against another race....

according to some polls about 25% of African Americans see whites as racist, so probably not

the purpose of those organizations is to address race issues

Whether they have helped or had a positive effect would be a matter of perspective

I am not denying the media can be unfair, both ways, but it doesn't change what happened that night. Also, as the case went on, more information came out, including gold teeth, tattoos, marijuana, "lean", guns, etc. Furthermore, a much higher percentage of blacks watched the trial, so their reaction is also a result of that.

Lastly based on your closing sentence...name the race that is not capable of racial profiling or being predjudiced against another race....Exactly, the issue is racial profiling, not the race of the person who did it.

But my question remains, are you saying that the media and certain organizations manipulated over 80% of the African American population into believing this was a case about race?
I have a hard time understanding the denial of the existence of racism, especially by those that don't experience it. Maybe Sal's depiction is accurate.

By the way, since it seems to make a difference to some, the police report identified Zimmerman as a white male.
