I am sure Obama will use his executive order pen to make folks not send their kids to private schools as he does himself.

You cannot stop de facto segregation.

We have the most racist President in modern history. People are comfortable living, working and socializing with people most like themselves and with whom they grew up.

Progressives are so hung up on their desperate need to pigeon hole everyone and then make sure they all fit into neat ratios and perfect little quota's that they are blind to the real world.

They don't care what damage their goals do to people, only that they can check off a little box.

"For Mrs. Obama, too, the visit was personal. She was born in Chicago at a time when public schools were still resisting integration. By the time she entered high school, the city — under pressure from the federal government — opened an integrated magnet school for high achievers, which Mrs. Obama credits with setting her on a path to Princeton and Harvard."

The magnet school gets the credit? She was born and raised in a two parent home with strong family values. Her parents are ultimately responsible for her success.....she was a high achiever prior to the magnet school.

Schools are not and should not be the only aspect in raising and educating children.

You point out a very important point. Good eye. I must be falling prey to the indoctrination.

Too much responsibility is being thrown to schools and teachers, bypassing parental accountability. Parenting enforces a proper education.

This is just another case of the 'Do as I say don't do as I do' that's so prevalent with the liberal mentality.

In Warrington there was a meeting between parents and the staff....I think just 12 parents showed up overall.

For those who don't know where Warrington is or what it's racial make-up is, perhaps you could expand on your premise?

We are in a nanny state, and the nanny wants even more power than ever before.

So, if the Warrington kids are sent to a school out of their district, their parents will automatically become responsible and show up?

Warrington is a terrible school. My ex mother in law taught there.

What's wrong with Warrington other than your ex mother-in-law teaching there? What makes this school so ineffective?

See post #8.

Parents have to take an active role in the education of their children. You can not expect the teachers to do it all.
