To be honest, I would not go to the beach in the middle of that and I wouldn't take my kids there. And I am just being honest. I don't think most people would think that gay weekend is the best time to pack their kids up and go camp out with the gays on the beach. Actually, I don't like big crowds of any kind at the beach and I avoid crowded areas. But if they are cleaning up after themselves, generally behaving themselves and following the law, they have every right to be there.

A lot less. Probably about as many as will have to be arrested on our beach this weekend.

I'm not sure arrests and property destruction are a good comparison. Take for instance the tea party vs the occupy movement. The one that destroyed nothing and had next to no arrests were deemed the radical extremists. Let's wait until the media tells us what to think.

No, as I said in the first post, I decided to go take a look on Friday morning because there wasn't any traffic then. I have no desire to get in that monumental traffic jam now.
But that's also why I don't go to the beach on July 4th.

But really...at 10:00 am, most of them were probably in their tents trying to get another hour of sleep before the fun begins again.

Change of subject, by hubby and I went to Gatlinburg last July. Now Galtinburg is a family oriented/family friendly vacation locale if there ever was one. But we got up that first morning and went out to get some breakfast around 9:00 am and that place was DEAD. There was no line yet at the pancake places and there were only a couple of other customers at the McDonald's. By the time we walked back to our hotel, around 10:00 am, people were just starting to get out and about.

FUN ?..maybe the puritans had it right.....
