I'm putting it down now. LeBron is the greatest of all time, and this Heat team is one for the ages.

Some on the list are certainly as good as, none are better. Lebron in 8 years might get on a list also.

Give it up Mr. Oats!!!

Mr. Oats was a player... a pretty good one from the sound of it. Boards is just a fan... there's a difference.

I like Lebron... alot. I hope he succeeds. I hope he wins three or more in a row. But boards lacks perspective with some of the things he says. Lebron is surrounded by better players... he doesn't appreciate the way jordan willed/forced his team to win... the drive... the intensity... he was a tyrant at practice. Even scottie was a role player to make the bulls a winner.

Lebron is bigger and sees the court very well... but the pace is slow... almost half court especially against good rebounding teams. I don't see any adjustments when things aren't going well (outside shooting) except that he tries to take over... and he does that pretty well... but nobody has done that better than jordan.

Nope.....had the pleasure of playing with some good players, but the three point line was not in existence, and that longer shot was always discouraged by coaches who wanted a taller person to be rebounding......today most small point guards are taller than I was, but I could hit the three.....but that was late in the game in adult leagues. Had the pleasure to see great coaching, and coached a bit myself at the junior high level, but that certainly does not make my opinion any better than Boards.......I think he is a bit premature on James......I like James. I think his strongest asset is his intelligence, but manufacturing a team has not brought great results in my opinion.........and no I will not give it up.........anybody who knows basketball knows that James is a great player, but one championship after almost 10 years of play.......sorry......he is not even on the list yet in my opinion.....each championship......he will begin making his move......but any fair minded person would not even make the Jordan comparison......they started making it with Koby after five championships..........couple years from now......start that discussion.

No, because Jordan took the other players around him and made them ALL allstars pretty much. The Celtics were all stars in a league where the talent was quite lopsidely tilted towards them. Sort of like the Yankees were at one point back in the day.

Please. I never played organized, but I grew up playing basketball and was a good player. I could dunk on any of you when you were in your prime.

Couldn't resist bumping the thread because of the Pacers/Heat playoffs.

Looks like the Heat will win in 5 games.
