To many subsidies, loopholes and tax advantages to a very small percentage of the population...wages flat...people unemployed or underemployed. Necessities rising in cost, corporate control of energy services, virtual monopolies in other services, artificial drug war keeps our privatized prisons full, and the government under George W. Bush stole billions from the masses and gave it to the private sector. You know, libertarian and liberal are not that far apart. You just blame the government, as if we could do without government. Look at the R's, running for jobs in government so they can do away with government. Crazy. IF the government functions as a representative of the interests of the majority and a watchdog, then government is a good thing. But we turned our backs on the rats and they sank the ship (of state).
