I think their shooter can simply beat a better team on any given day. You have made wise choices. I actually thought Wisconsin had the better team but I have been impressed by them since I got to see a full game last week.

Who picked Harvard on their bracket?

Hint: I did.

That was a ballsy pick. I do not think anyone except maybe you thought that Harvard had a snowballs chance in hell of beating the Lobos.

That game was very close until the very end. I didn't watch it, so I don't know how it went down, but I was following the score.

Wisconsin led most of the second half until the last few minutes when Ole Miss finally took a small lead, and with about a minute left they were suddenly up by nine.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

My logic was that a 13 seed beats a 4 seed every year, I read that Harvard was defensively solid and well-coached, and every year no matter what the Lobos are rated, they are over-rated.

Ole Miss will play LaSalle. The Explorers pulled it out against K-State by 2 points.

Michigan State over Memphis.....pretty strong showing, although I did not see good guard play at the end of the game. Solid program, and if they eventually get by Louisville....who knows.

Michigan was dominate today.

I am watching it and do not feel comfortable with Michigan State's guard play getting by Louisville right now. They have excellent full court pressure. However, if you break their press, I am not at all impressed with them at this juncture.

Louisville's full court press is really impressive. Apparently for CSU breaking the press is a chore in itself.

Harris, Appling, and Trice are excellent guards... I've watched nearly every msu game this season. They will stand up when it counts. Nix and paine might be the best big combo in the ncaa. Dawson is a scary athlete at forward... The kid can jump out of the gym. Izzo y'all already know.

Louisville looked unbeatable today. I don't know if they were playing a second rate team or they are just that damn good. Since they are the #1 seed overall, I choose the latter. They also have a helluva defense. In the first 2 playoff games they have forced 47 turnovers.

They looked very good, but I really was getting frustrated with the coaching on how to break that press.......they would dilly dally around and not get the ball and allowed them to set it up almost every time. You need to get the ball in play immediately and get an immediate imbalance. At least 6 times.......it was like.....oh lets wait until they set up.....and then throw it in........they also used not one back pick and deeper pass to create a transition fast break.

Now I am not taking anything away from Louisville because what was more impressive to me was they way they defended the passing lanes. Exceptional However, I think this team will be beat with two guards and a small forward who can run and score some points off this press. I also was not even remotely impressed with their half court offense.....not even close to Michigan State in the half court.......so the key in my mind is the quick inbound, back picks, and pushing the defender in transition all the way to the bucket....make them pay for their deep deployment.

Get on the Louisville bandwagon, Mr. Oats.

I implore you.

I only ask because I don't follow basketball but noticed this when I am reading my local news this morning.

Iowa State has hung tough against the Buckeyes in the first half. We shall see what the final 20 minutes will bring.

@ Chrissy. FGCU plays against San Diego State at 7:10 tonight. This is a tournament of 64 teams. FGCU is definitely a Cinderella team since they have only been playing at the NCAA Division I level since 2011. I hope they can beat SDSU tonight but methinks their Cinderella run is about to come to an abrupt end.

Indiana survives by the skin of their teeth.

That's the kind of challenge a National Champion must overcome.

Kansas down big early.

Indeed, I did.

Although, this is about as wide open a dance as I can remember.

Anybody but Louisville!

Oh, just a visceral and burning hatred of the team, its coach, and their fans.

When you grow up in the Bluegrass State, these things are taken seriously.
