This guy is bonkers.

It's like watching a competent, experienced legislator debate a third grade bully.

Unfortunately, half the audience is comprised of third graders armed with spit balls.

He almost never looks at the audience. He can't take his eyes off her, because he must know that she's killing him by inches. No one could call this debate for him...oh, and BTW, it's not braggadicio. Hahahahaha.

That brain-damaged old woman looked pretty damn good compared to that babbling moron.

What can you expect when you had Bannon filling his head with garbage Breitbart one-liners. He was not prepared for a real debate.

He was so unfocused. He couldn't stop himself from interrupting her, and he couldn't seem to address his remarks to the audience. I appreciate the job Lester Holt did. He kept trying to redirect the conversation to the actual questions, with limited success. He kept trying to hold to the time limits. I was impressed with his acumen and I was impressed by Hillary's grasp of the issues. All Donald did is try to throw dirt. And it was particularly hypocritical of him to talk about China and Mexico...two places he uses slave labor.

I couldn't stop laughing after Hillary Clinton, on the very first question, openly pushed for SOCIALISM.

After that, nothing else mattered. She got the Bernie Sanders base.

So much for Trump looking presidential.

Vikingwoman

Hillary was awesome! She's 68 and you just can't beat her. she got Trump good a couple of times.

Yes, nothing mattered after Donald Trump looked about as un-presidential as any candidate pushed by the GOP in the last 100 years.

You are going to see how much THAT matters by the evening of November 8th!

Is Trump feeling well? What was all that sniffling?

Even the Fox commentators, Kelly and her crew agree that Hillary did a much better job. One said, to use a basketball metaphor, that Hillary was controlling the ball for most of the night.

She did a great job. Looking for the numbers to start reflecting this.

Vikingwoman

She did! When Trump said he had a better temperament than her I laughed out loud.

Wow, this is fun. It is a series of clips from the Frank Luntz focus group with the dials to turn during the debate to see how the candidates responses were liked or not. Scroll down just a bit to start seeing the dial results.

You must admit how sad it was to see Donald Trump, the Babe Ruth of debates, strike out so often. Very Happy

You and I, along with much of the audience -- even though they'd been warned against such outbursts. Obviously they couldn't help themselves, it was such a ludicrous statement.

Hmm....my memory is that the word he invented tonight was a new adjective: braggadocious.

He couldn't get beyond his ego.

The more I think about last night.....

Hillary Clinton effectively stood up to, neutralized, and destroyed the Right-Wing Hate Machine last night. She will administer the coup-de-grace to the SS Trump on October 9th.

All that remains is how big a landslide will be her victory on November 8th.

This is the same Right-Wing Hate Machine that has shadowed and tried to counter every move of Barrack Obama since he was first elected and inaugurated. I think she just told them: "You don't matter any more."

Hillary was in great form and won the debate right out of the gate.  Like her or not this is what she has worked for her entire life.

For Donald, it's just a bored businessman's next toy.  Break it or make it he will gain.  Thing is ... America's working families can't afford his game.

The VoteMaster over at Electoralvote.com offers a superb analysis of last night's debate:

Clinton Doesn't Score a Knockout, But Wins Convincingly on Points
http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2016/Pres/Maps/Sep27.html#item-1

Excerpt:

Even the markets gave Clinton the win. The U.S. futures market jumped 100 points immediately after the debate, and the Mexican peso's value increased by two percent. British bookmaker Betfair increased Clinton's odds of victory from 64% to 70%.

Meh... if anything the one thing trump would do better is loosen up small biz... which benefits "working families".

The thing they seemed to agree on that irritates me is our domestic security. I don't think either will roll back the unconstitutional infringement of our civil liberties. You can't allow the govt to simply create a list (no fly) that restricts you... to collect data... to detain... to touch our junk... all without due process... and then lament and politicize abuse. The choice is between an authoritarian govt... and civil liberties with a checked central govt. It's that simple... and it's ignored.

I saw a report about Trump spending a significant block of time practicing for the debate. I was thinking that public statements made by his campaign stressing his wishes to be his usual relaxed self were maybe an effort to lower expectations.

His performance was much poorer than I expected. I actually thought he might have been able to digest a certain amount of information about domestic and world affairs to at least give the impression that he was better informed on the issues than he's appeared in the past but that didn't happen.

Now, this morning I hear Trump complaining about the microphone being a problem that made it sound as if he was snorting throughout the debate, really, the microphone?
