I can be very mean when someone makes disparaging remarks about a good friend we lost ...a friend of mine and others on this forum. Neko died after a long laborious series of illnesses. Tragic.

It takes a very cold person to do that. Great job by Boards dividing the forum.

Neko and T's passing have hurt the fun of the forum.....both made incredible and different contributions.....I personally liked Neko, and she took pride in whacking me whenever she could. She never took things personal, and she always researched her positions......to say mean things about her is silly....for those of us who enjoyed her company for so many years, it was sad to see her snatched from us in such an agonizing and horrible death......life is sometimes incredibly unfair, but I learned a great deal about Japan and other things from her and will forever be grateful for having met her on the PNJ and this forum.

We used to have a mentally unstable poster who would visit the forum who was a real powder keg.

The queen of mean and her sidekick loved to light his fuse.

They'd plot ways to get under his skin.

And boy, when he went off, he went off like an atomic bomb.

Then they'd revel in their success.

He finally disappeared for good

Maybe he had a stroke or a heart attack.

I participated in one national and one international forum for many years before finding the PNJ forum.
The reason I switched to the PNJ forum was because of the local nature of it.  I liked the idea of communicating with people who are my neighbors.  We have a common shared interest in living here.  I like that.
The link you just showed me is just another social media board like hundreds of others.
