"Iranian military forces seized two U.S. Navy boats Tuesday and are detaining them on Iran's Farsi Island in the Persian Gulf, senior U.S. officials told NBC News.

The officials said it's unclear whether the 10 American sailors aboard two small riverine vessels had strayed into Iranian territorial waters before they were captured.

The sailors were on a training mission around noon ET when one of the boats experienced mechanical failure and drifted into Iranian-claimed waters, officials added. Iran's coast guard took them into custody, although the crew has been described as being safe."

The boats were off course and one may have had engine trouble.

It is interesting that this took place hours before semi-retired President Obama makes his boring State of the Union message.

Will President Obama mention the missiles fired close to the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman as violating the unsigned nuclear agreement with Iran?

Will I be watching, oh no.

I love how the progressives here allow me to live rent free in their minds! Thank you so much!

How can you assert it is boring before it has occurred? Too much Hannity? lol

I think it is the other way around. If we didn't totally own you, you wouldn't bother with your endless attempts to propagandize the people who post here. Have you ever succeeded in convincing us to your way of thinking? No way, but you do provide a lot of comedic relief, and we will have our way with you all the way through the November election.

There is only one fundamental principle of human civilization.  Money Rules.

If I had to predict,  and it's true what the republicans have been preaching that the "Iran deal" will fetch the Iranians hundreds of billions of dollars;
and that keeping these Americans hostage would jeopardize that deal;
that what's being reported is they'll be released by daybreak is probably what will happen.
And then Obama will be able to say "see without this wonderful deal,  we wouldn't have been able to negotiate their release".

On the other hand,  that fundamental principle only works with rational humans.
We're dealing with mooslims here.  And Allah getting his revenge on The Great Satan may be more important than money to them.

We wait and see.

Of course there is also this possibility.  That behind the scenes,  Obama and Kerry are offering to sweeten the deal in exchange for getting the hostages released.

What else can they want? The only thing I can think of would be our state of the art weaponry.

I spent my whole working career negotiating deals.  Trust me,  there is always something additional the other side wants if it can get it.  Always.  lol

You're joking right? Once you've seen one of his speeches, you've seen them all unless they're about gun control and then he can get excited.

As you know, Progressives here love posting opinion pieces which may or may not have any basis in fact.

I post threads and posts with FACTS along with the source and link. It really does infuriate each of you in your own special way.

More from the king of bullshit. Just like Markle's quote of FOX News saying the cop who was shot in the arm in his squad car in Philly was critically injured ... when the cops Commissioner of Police declared otherwise (CNN). Or like when Markle quotes one scientist funded by Exxon as complete and total proof global warming is a hoax. Or that Bush was correct in invading Iraq. Or that black people when they rebuild the burned out section of Ferguson will be building quick payroll loan stores and liquor stores because that's what blacks do. Etc. etc. etc. etc. And up is down, and dry is wet and ...

You post bullshit from sites like "The Gateway Pundit" and "Hotair.com". The "facts" presented from these sources are often disputable.   Twisted Evil

And still, in spite of all your whining, you cannot disprove anything I post. So you kick and scream. You're fun.

It's easy to figure out Markle ...we jump all over you because you're the most whacked out, incredible far right white racist Christian advocate on the forum.  You really are the epitome of cold is hot, wet is dry, soggy bullshit -- which you present on a daily basis here -- with a laughable arrogance that absolutely invites and invokes response.

Thanks Markle for all you do for your causes!

Frankly, I personally think you're only real goal is to insult people who don't share your POV.  Think about that.  The only kind of a guy who pursues that track is someone suffering from awesome insecurity.

Actually, from global warming to the righteousness of our invading Iraq and overthrowing Saddam, nearly EVERYTHING you claim is fact in this forum has been thoroughly and convincingly dis-proven. Thanks for the laughs!

I am sure the wingnuts will try to spin the release of our sailors without any provocation as another massive Obama failure....

This explains the aberrant behavior of my Socialist/Communist good friend Wordslinger and a few others here. Why they feel compelled to call names, attempt childish insults and use profanity. As we see above.

Daily or Severe Tantrums May Point to Mental Health Issues

August 29, 2012 • Science Update

Most young children lose their temper sometimes, but daily tantrums or tantrums with severe behaviors, such as aggressive or destructive tantrums, are unusual and could signal a larger problem, according to an NIMH-funded study published online August 3, 2012, in a special issue of the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry.
