Okay i noticed this a month or so ago

I have an onion that sprouted in the door of my fridge. Now I am amazed at how this onion is growing in the cold dark with no more food or source of nourishment than the bulb it is attached to...He tastes pretty good also...I break off a piece every now and then and eat it. It just regrows... the tenacity of life...
