My husband and I both thought this movie was terrific. Very intense performances and a realistic view of the WWII period when London was being bombed and Britton was loosing the war.
The Nazi enigma machine was the code creating device used to communicate to the commanders in the field and the code had to be cracked. The geeks came to the rescue and struggled for years to finally break the code and turn the war.
There was also a subplot or view into the attitudes of society in general in a period before women were treated more as equals and gays were not arrested for who they were.
