Meanwhile, of the 1 in 5 who said they have been harmed by the law, more than half reported it led to higher costs while about 20 percent say it made it more difficult to get coverage.

Oh Chrissy, Chrissy, Chrissy look no Medicare cuts.

sorry there have been medicare cuts.

they were earlier

matter of afact my profession took a 55% cut in 2013 on 88305

then a 30% cut in 88342 in 2014

and many other specialties took large cuts as well

sorry mr insurance man. You just don't know either.

Hmmm!

The final 2013 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule [released on...November 1, 2012] contains a 52 percent cut for the highest volume technical component anatomic pathology code, CPT Code 88305-TC. This reduction, which will be effective January 1, 2013, brings the payment in line with the Medicare outpatient APC payment rate for the same service. The 88305-TC has been acknowledged by most observers as being over-priced by Medicare and a reduction was expected. However, the size of the reimbursement cut is greater than most have anticipated. The professional component (CPT Code 88305-26) will be increased by two percent. Overall, Medicare reimbursement for the global 88305 anatomic pathology services will be reduced by one-third.

Ok I concede on this one code.

But you see it will only be reduced by one third. Not 52% as stated. Small labs that are attached to practices like dermatology and such that over billed for services will see their 50% profit diminish. It's all about greediness not any concern about quality of services or people. They will outsource to bigger labs and people like Chrissy won't be overpaid for overcharging people. That's all it's about.

Sorry Steve Jobs went to Europe to get the best treatment for Endocrine cancer where they are still years ahead of America. You are living in a dream world if you do not recognize that people move in both directions seeking health care.   The ratings are not politically influenced and the average person waiting for two hours for a procedure in America only to have the wrong shots brought to the patient is reality......and this is the number one facility in radio embolization in America.....Stay healthy Mr. Markle.....do not get a look at the underbelly of the beast we call American health care.  It is broken.  What would you say if the minimum wage was twenty five bucks an hour........its ok to see in real dollars folks wages shrink, but the world stops if the 1% no longer obscenely profit on health care.

How did that work out for Steve Jobs?

Steve Jobs' Cancer Treatment Regrets

Jobs’ “magical thinking” may have defined his business brilliance, but it could have been his downfall in his fight against cancer.

According to Steve Jobs’ biographer, Walter Isaacson, the Apple AAPL +2.94% mastermind eventually came to regret the decision he had made years earlier to reject potentially life-saving surgery in favor of alternative treatments like acupuncture, dietary supplements and juices.
Though he ultimately embraced the surgery and sought out cutting-edge experimental methods, they were not enough to save him.

So Steve Jobs would be alive today had he listened to his doctors here in America. Got it.

Everything that was posted between around 12am this morn until about 2pm this afternoon disappeared, Chrissy went to Guest and then back to Chrissy, and the formatting has gone haywire at times.

I think the forumotion software has gotten glitchy.

The list with the problem physicians might encounter with Medicaid includes several of the same problems with insurance coverage, or lack of coverage, that existed before the passage of the PPACA.  Non-compliant patient?  That could be ANY patient, covered or not...

The article specifically stated the list of problems is more prevalent in Medicaid patients and it stated one of the major problems with Medicaid patients is the non-compliance.

Of course the same problems can and do occur with other patients.......but it is more prevalent in Medicaid patients.
