A wonderful glimpse of why this country and our laws are dedicated to individual freedom and liberty. The actual arguments of the justices of the Supreme Court are heard as the case was argued. Brilliant documentary which HBO should be proud to have shown. I never thought that this would happen for another 10 years based on the equal protection clause and the rational basis standard, but what utter incompetence and out classing by the attorney who went silent on the rational basis test. I have never seen such utter incompetence in my life. To have accepted this case in support of proposition 8, counsel must have known what the standard was.......but even the brilliant team of the plaintiffs were stunned in counsels inability to answer the simple questions posed by the justices. A very good way to understand our system in an hour.
