Not a surprise but the Progressives here will find a way to denigrate or, most likely, ignore this far reaching poll.

Poll: Fox Trounces CNN, Humiliates MSNBC as Most Trusted

by John Nolte  10 Jun 2014, 8:24 AM PDT

A new poll should have the minions at the left-wing, Soros-funded, tax-exempt, union-busting Media Matters scrambling for a rewrite at the drawing board for it shows that Fox News is the most trusted name in all of news and the left-wing MSNBC is the least trusted.

In a poll about a whole lot of things (religion, immigration, Obama) the Brookings Institution also surveyed 1538 adults about the news networks. When asked "which of the following news sources do you trust the most to provide accurate information about politics and current events?," Fox News beat everyone with 25%. MSNBC landed dead last with a humiliating 5%. CNN came in well behind Fox with 17%. "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" came in second to last with 8%

Fox News even beats the broadcast networks, which came in second with 23%

Independent voters also choose Fox News first and over MSNBC with a 26% to 4% margin. CNN sits at 16%. The broadcast networks, 17%.

My far left Progressive good friends aren't sure what to say so they're finally taking some advice from Abraham Lincoln.

“It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.”

So, 25% of Americans trust FAUX News.

75% of Americans trust sources other than FAUX News.

Sounds about right.

We report, you decide.

I think we have to attribute Fox News great success to their having two of the finest journalists in the world, Steve and Peter Doocy, America's anchormen.

How many Obama scandals would not even be reported if not for FOX? We know the liberal MSM isn't going to say anything bad about the COWH.

Actually, I already posted a link to this very poll yesterday.  In fact, you read and responded to the thread in which this poll was posted.

One more time for Markle:

https://pensacoladiscussion.forumotion.com/t15000-does-fox-news-cause-ignorance-or-do-ignorant-viewers-prefer-fox-news

Here is the funny thing about this:  The poll tells us that Fox News republicans are ignorant.  They even go so far as to specify the difference between a Fox News watching republican and a non Fox News watching republican to show you the stark difference in their views.  The study shows us Fox News republicans know the least about the state of our current immigration process, and it also turns out that watching Fox News is the strongest predictor to the opposition of a path to citizenship for immigrants.

But once this story gets into the hands of Breitbart and eventually Markle..."FOX NEWS IS THE MOST TRUSTED NETWORK!!!!11111"

For the literate among us....

The two most powerful independent predictors of support for a path to citizenship are being young (under 30 years of age) and identifying as Hispanic. Holding a four-year college degree, being female, identifying with the Democratic Party, and most trusting MSNBC as an accurate news source are also significant predictors of support for immigration reform.

In contrast, trust in Fox News as an accurate news source is the most powerful independent predictor of opposition to a path to citizenship. Identifying as Republican and being a born-again Christian are also significant predictors of opposition to immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship.

Democrats (30%) and independents (27%) are more likely than Republicans (18%) to report correctly that the number of deportations has increased over the past five or six years.

Only 12% of Americans who most trust Fox News for accurate information about politics and current events correctly believe deportations have increased.

But, hey, at least those ignorant people trust their inaccurate news source!  Perhaps that is the problem.

The most funny part of all of this.  Those ignorant people that the poll refers to...the ones that they dub "Fox News Republicans"...they're talking about you Markle, PACEDOG, TEO, and PkrBum.  LOL.  They're talking about you. And your creation of this very thread does much in the way of validating the results of this poll! Thank you, Markle!

Are we now going to redefine the English word "ignorance" to be directly tied to one's opinion of a government slogan called "path to citizenship"?

Better call Funk and call Wagner too so they'll change the dictionary. But I gotta tell ya, bds, this is sounding eerily 1984'ish.

Not at all.  The term 'ignorance' is used correctly.  Fox News republicans showed little knowledge of the objective facts that surround the immigration issue.  Very very little knowledge.

And the only winners are the sponsors and the corporation called NEWS.

Get over the game of which news is best. It's all crap.

"Objective facts". Finding one of those these days is like trying to find a dinosaur at the Gulf Breeze Zoo.
And I watch both Fox News and MSNBC.
