I wonder what could explain such a sharp drop-off? Any ideas?

Lies, obfuscation, spun data, more lies, smoke and mirrors, misreporting...funny how you guys can't come up with the exact numbers paid or the numbers of people who LOST their insurance before having to sign up for Oscummercare, yet you promote this a GAWD ALMIGHTY FACT.

Actually, that very question has already been asked and answered in another thread. Then there is this thread, right here, that shows us that the % of Americans who are uninsured has plummeted; which, if you're any good at connecting the dots, addresses your other concern about people who "lost" their coverage.

Several factors may determine whether the uninsured rate declines, ticks up, or levels off in the coming months. Factors that may push the uninsured rate down include more states choosing to expand Medicaid and more Americans electing to buy insurance as penalty amounts increase. Gallup research shows that the uninsured rate, on average, has dropped more in states that have elected to expand Medicaid and run their own healthcare exchanges than in states that have not. Gallup also has found that higher fines would prompt more Americans to sign up for health insurance.

On the other hand, it is likely that some newly insured Americans will not pay their premiums and will rejoin the ranks of the uninsured. It is also possible that the uninsured rate could hold steady until early 2015, when those currently without insurance sign up for policies going into effect at the beginning of next year.

Additionally, other provisions of the healthcare law have not yet gone into effect, such as the requirement for employers to provide health insurance to their employees by 2015. These provisions also may affect the uninsured rate over time.

Still using a poll huh lol

a paid for one btw.

Recall that President Barack Obama's political strategist, David Axelrod, pressed Gallup to change its poll methodology--and that when it refused, Eric Holder's hyper-politicized Department of Justice slapped it with a lawsuit that is apparently unrelated but likely conveys the message Axelrod wished to send.

Gallup officials described the tactics as a "Godfather situation," according to internal emails obtained by the Daily Caller. More precisely, it was polling the Chicago way: you'll tell everyone we're winning, or else.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/11/We-Told-You-So-HuffPo-Busts-Gallup-Poll-Tinkering-With-Sample-After-DNC

Today--thanks to HuffPo, which breaks a story in the other direction once every four years--critics of the polls have a smoking gun. And voters should be warned not to trust negative--or positive--news from polling organizations that are manipulable by hacks, would-be Godfathers, and their allies in the mainstream media.

However, I will say that obamacaid is doing very well. Many states up more than 30% in Medicaid enrollment. You can be proud of that, we wont talk consequences of that, you're young enough, Ill just have the last laugh knowing your generation is fucked up LOL
