Why does the Fed Chairman seem more powerful than our President?
All Ben Bernancke has to do is utter a simple phrase and the markets can tumble 500 points in one day. No man should have that kind of power. It makes the President and all of Congress subservient to the Fed Chairman, because they are always worried that he will do something to the money system that will hurt people or otherwise be blamed on them.
The Fed Chairman can make the markets rise or tumble just by the words he mumbles. The Wall Street banks own the Fed, and you can bet they already know on what side their trades should be so they can continue to vacuum money from the people further down the totem pole.
The system was designed to favor and protect the banking elites at all costs, while they manipulate the money system like it was a grand casino. If this was not apparent in 1929, it surely was in 2008.
And, you can best believe that before the bankers would allow more fairness and regulation to be entered into this system, they would bring the economy down first. They are friends to no one.
