this whole forum is like watching an episode of joe pyne or morton downey junior. or listening to don rickles when he was performing blue.

about the only thing i can compare it to in today's media is that continuous pissing contest i hear don imus do with his cast on his show on fox business channel every morning. it's all like a "no i'm not but so are you" over and over and over and over and over again.
i got sick of that goddamn shit when i was in the 4th grade. i'm trying decide if this is making me sick or it's like going to an elementary school reunion cause i don't go to reunions.

You may not know it, but when you order a bbq sandwich in my neck of the woods (the carolinas), it comes automatic with the fricking cole slaw on it. You have to tell em you don't want no slaw and when you do they look at you like you're a muslim.

I live in Lillian and don't have a car right now or I'd try to join you all. I love pulled pork and plan to get the Hubs to take me there soon. The only Sonny's I know is on Navy Blvd near Walmart. I've heard there is a good BBQ place here in Lillian (Green's?) but haven't tried it yet. Thank you for the invite.

but that never happened back in the day at the beach casino. i never even saw anyone say a cross word to anyone else.
what i remember the best is hearin brenda lee singing "I'm Sorry" wafting through that casino from the jukebox remote speakers while I smelled that heavenly cheeseburger frying and felt that snow white sand in my shoes.
i think it was about 1959 when i was ten years old.
i sure would like to go back for a little bit and experience it again.

Wrong again on all accusations....I did not reference a Burger-King assembly worker in a fast-food chain as a chef. Hell, I did not even refer to Arlene's cook as a chef but the term is correct. Behaviour was spelled correctly if you would like to check a dictionary for the acceptable versions...the version I have always used. Please don't ever try and associate me with an problem with over-indulging. I'm not an alcoholic like you.

Once again, Arlene's sister prepares the collards, and most if not all of the sides and desserts. Her sister is not a DUDE.

I got banana pudding from Arlene's the other day because I had been told how good it was and that it was homemade.

All I'll say to that is this. If anybody thinks that swill is homemade then you need to go to the Homestead Kitchen (corner of Pace and Fairfield) on Tuesdays when they serve the REAL homemade banana pudding.

Not to brag Teo, but the best banana pudding that I have every tasted is my own homemade pudding. It is a recipe that has been handed down in my family for years. I think that it may have been my great great grandmother that originally had it.

I have had Dave's and Homestead both and to me they just do not compare to what I make. Now I will give Homestead credit for their pies. Come holiday time, we always order ours from there. I do not believe that we could make them as good or for the price that they charge.
