All this is what makes P'Cola a fun place. And you don't even have to pay admission to see it like you do to get in the freak show at the Fair.

Back with the undead yet...?

Just remember Bob....I'm here for ya and there's not a damned thing you can do about it. LOL.

And yes, we live in a carnival, complete w/ roving freak shows.

Now, because I shop @ thrift stores, I have a new set of concerns.

I've been possessed by Hart, Shaffner, and Marx.

It's a risk I take.

If stuff bought at thrift stores is possessed by demons, then that would probably make me the pope of satanism. The only clothes I don't get from thrift stores are what I buy at yard sales. And I imagine that has the demons in it too because whatever is not sold at the yard sales ends up being donated to the thrift stores. lol

But as I think about it, I mostly buy from the St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores because I've found those have the best quality of used clothing. And maybe "Reverend" Robertson doesn't realize that the St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores are owned and operated by the oldest Christian religion in the world. Even older than the 600 Club. lol

I wonder if Pat realizes the air he breaths is the same air that Judas breathed...?

It's just been recycled a lot.

He didn't eat them. He just raped and killed young women and even a 12 year old girl I believe. There is speculation that there were many more victims that have never been accounted for as well.

Jeffery Dahmer is the one that invited young men over for lunch...literally.

Your right that was Dahmer---wow where did Bundy get caught? Did he kill people in Pensacola ?

I am a thrift store junkie Bob Surprised

Off of Cervantes. David pulled him over for a vehicle issue, something like no tail lights or tag light; I can't remember, but then it was discovered that the vehicle was in the system as stolen. One thing led to another and Bundy was arrested.

No, he didn't kill anyone in Pensacola, he was just "passing through" and acting suspicious.

This reminds me of the gambling scandal in which Dean Baird and others were convicted.

http://www.pensapedia.com/wiki/Dean_Baird

In 1980, I rented a storage unit owned by Baird and his sister, June. At some point, the unit was robbed and all the contents stolen, but I wasn't notified about the burglary. I didn't discover the robbery until about 2 weeks after the fact, when I went to retrieve something. They claimed the hasp, not the lock, was broken but had no answer when I asked why I wasn't notified. When I met with June, she had a uniformed cop stationed in the room and told me she had evidence that MY HUSBAND had robbed his own storage unit. Much later, I found out from a friend that more than 40 people had been robbed of their belongings at that same facility. Another acquaintance told me that his car had been rigged to explode when Baird was negotiating to obtain the bar at Quietwater. Still later, my husband worked, at the behest of someone we knew, for Dean's daughter, who owns a payday loan business. You guessed it...she ripped him off for wages. Never trust these people.

Are you talking about the dead baby in an ice chest that was brought to the Brownsville Revival so it could be resurrected...?

How'd that work out...?

I guess the un-holy spirit was only powerful enough to cause idiots to speak in tongues and get slain in the spirit. Anything useful or serious was over his pay grade.

OMG, I never heard about that one...OMG. I knew a few people who attended that church during that time period. I heard lots of people came to town expecting a miracle or at least a place to stay. Funny (not) how the leaders of the "revival" left town in a hurry when the spotlight was turned on them.

My Father's ministry lent a hand to help several families who had sold what they could, loaded up the car, and headed south to the bodacious revival expecting God to take care of them when they landed in P'cola. Wrong. And the B.A.o'God shysters were less than happy about the influx. The City of Pen. was even MORE unhappy because of the strain it put on social services. There were dozens of families stranded here...no jobs...no money...with families to feed.

Those 2 evangelists sheared the flock down to a nub and then left town. They should have been prosecuted for fraud.

I did know one guy who was very active in the church. What I have to say about him can't go here...but you could ask our mutual friend SM about it.

OK, you all forced me, (not really,) to mention this with your talking about shyster preachers / churches and all.

Back in high school I went to Brownsville Assembly of God as a favor to a friend of mine. They had some bozo named Brian Ruud "preaching" there as a guest preacher. He was trying to convince everyone that while in prison in Canada "God" altered his appearance and fingerprints resulting in the prison officials were convinced he was the "wrong man" in prison and had to release him. All I could mutter BULLSHIT while others were praisin' away.

Also, a few years back I was talking to someone that was from up North. They were visiting relatives here and we struck up a conversation. They thought that Pensacola was quite interesting. As they put it, it is strange to have beggars on one corner asking for money while across the street from them you have people screaming at you telling you that if you do not believe as they do you will surely go to Hell.

They also commented that this was their first...AND LAST visit to Pensacola.

One of them that was very well known in that Brownsville church is still here. He owns a slum trailer park over by Mobile Hwy. I've dealt w/ him a few times and he is a nasty SOB.
