GI Joe? You are younger than some of the rest of us, Vector. I think I was around 14 when GI Joe came out, and would not be caught dead playing with one then. By that age, boys were more interested in the latest Beatles record and the budding boobs growing on Mary Lou's chest four doors down.

Sal

I remember one summer getting a GI Joe with the fuzzy hair and beard.

I played with him in the pool and the hair came out in clumps

GI Joe immediately was renamed Chemo Joe.

lol

Im going off topic, sorry about your K mart.

I'm interested in the copper penny. What a great find.

I myslef love to collect things. I have a collection of coins, none as awesome as that penny I dont think, You now have made me want to dig that stuff out and look.

I mostly have thousands of old baseball cards and baseball figurines. Long story how I got into that. I do have a lot of old coins too.

I wonder if they do away with penies all together will that make the value of rare pennies even more valuable. ...hmmm

I wish I'd have kept all my GI Joe crap.

You'll have to be logged into eBay to see this...

But remember, if you and a lot more people had kept it, it would not now have the value it does. It's only valuable because so many threw it out which creates the scarcity required to give it value. So you did your part too. lol

WOW!

Love watching Antiques Roadshow and Pawn Stars. You never know what you're going to see or believe how much it's worth.

It very well could. I had never thought of it that way though. We shall have to take a wait and see approach.

RE: Coins.

Here are some links with interesting facts about coins and currency.

RE: GI Joe

I used to have a couple of them with several of the extras. They are in a footlocker in my parent's attic.
