My guess is that reading between the lines of the article would reveal that both sides of the aisle are replete with hypocrisy. It's a shame so many on this forum are unwavering in their defense of their side.

Ahh, the Bush years. Everyone remembers the breathless reporting of the lamestream media, whose ‘mission accomplished’ was no less than the utter destruction of a man who refused to fight back. Besides the vicious partisanship of the major news networks, it would be kind of refreshing to re-live some of those glory years, when the lapdog media was more like the attack dog media.

Let’s go into our wayback machine and witness what it would be like if the news media went after President Obama the way they did with ‘W’. Click the right arrow on the slide and SHARE this with your friends who might have forgotten what it was like back in the day!








What if George Bush had set the record for golf-playing by a president, with well over 100 rounds of golf in his first term? Think news orgs would be buying the constant appeals to "I will not rest" until there is job creation? Oh yeah, Bush presided over 52 straight months of job growth. Never mind.





What if Bush handed out trillions in corporate handouts and slush fund deals, promising to lower unemployment to 5.4% in his first term? What if President Bush pressured the Egyptian government to remove strongman Hosni Mubarak, only to see that country later fall under the control of Islamist radicals? And then, on the anniversary of September 11th, jihadists stormed the U.S. embassy in Cairo, ripping down and burning the flag? We all know what would have happened. Bush would have been crucified so badly it would have made Mel Gibson weep.





What if Bush carried out an unconstitutional, unauthorized military invasion of Libya to remove a sovereign head of state, who was later killed? Because that's the equivalent of what happened under Obama when Leon Panetta testified before Congress and said the president didn't need no stinking Constitutional authority to send American soldiers to their potential demise in Libya. Oh, you didn't see that blasted all over the mainstream news?





What if a Congressman close to President Bush revealed that he had a secret database on all Americans, which would be used to crush the Democrat Party? Because that's the reverse of what Maxine Waters said in regards to Obama's plans to destroy the GOP just this month. Didn't see that on the paleomedia? No doubt the reporters in the major news media would yawn at that little revelation if it were Bush. They'd be shooting caffeine enemas to stay on top of that huge story.





What if President Bush ran for re-election on scaling back the war on terror, doing away with Gitmo, warrantless wiretaps and extraordinary rendition? Later, he pulls a shenanigans, and continues the same Bush policies with only slight modification? He also resigns the Patriot Act twice and even passes the civil liberties-threatening NDAA. The 'legitimate news media' would be all over that like white on rice.

Almost everything that is being complained about here came about directly BECAUSE of the policies of Bush, both foreign and domestic. If it weren't for Bush and his partners in crime, we would not have gone to war and the economy wouldn't have crashed.
