A prisoner has been taken by LifeFlight to Baptist Hospital after being stabbed at Century Prison this morning, according to authorities.

The stabbing was reported at the prison on Tedder Road around 7:40 a.m., according to Escambia County Emergency Medical Services personnel.

A shank could have been a tooth brush with the handle sharpened by rubbing it down on the concrete or something else..

Contraband flows in and out of corrections facilities...drugs, weapons, etc
