The cav bench played well during the season.

They have a top 10 bench in the NBA and three all stars.......the excuses have ran their course, and what sports radio has chattered about for five years is true.......James hurts teams he has played on, and the closer they get to the success of a championship, the more of an impediment he becomes. His turn overs the last two games make him look feeble. As I said earlier in this thread.....James has become irrelevant. The NBA has currently 10 better team players and winners than James, and with more and more youth coming into the league, I am certain of one thing......some of the current players will be higher than James on the all time list......but not breaking into the top ten is his destiny.

James making seven turnovers was largely responsible for his team never getting going in the game. He has no outside shot, and he is making increasing turnovers and missed free throws.....teams cannot carry him anymore......as Bosh said......it is hard playing with him.

MVP Curry is going to get his second ring in only seven years........he has six years to bumble around and lose like James, or possibly the MVP might get some more rings.....who knows, but winners kind of define themselves, and losers look for excuses.

For those waiting for the MVP to show up, Game 4 was a welcome sight. For LeBron James, it was the end of an era, as Stephen Curry decisively seized the throne as the NBA's very best.

I guess the little guy just finished the king......

If we're defining "best" player as the one who gives you the best chance to win — which is really the only argument that makes sense in a competitive league — it's Curry. He's the most valuable offensive player in the NBA by a mile, and he's a better defender than people like Russell Westbrook give him credit for being. That's before we even get to how he impacts the geometry of the court with his gravity, drawing defenders toward him unlike any player we've seen since Shaquille O'Neal.

Bingo......while James has folks playing off him four feet, allowing players to collapse on the other four offensive players, and team play becoming a static one on one contest.

I'd still take green with my first pick if I was building a team... and denzel valentine with my first draft pick. Insta-dynasty.

I love green, butler, leonard, and george.....they are my type of players, but none of them change the geometry of the game......there are few players like Curry and whether the last two years have been a fluke, lucky, or a short term miracle......time will tell, but he is on a long path of a career which could have an amazing upside.

Green suspended for game 5. I guess the NBA has found a less obvious method to get that sixth game. I am not condoning Green's conduct, but James pushes everybody and few push back because he always gets the call, Green does not take crap from anybody......so the NBA gets what they want.....but they better blow a great many calls in favor of the Cavs, because beating the TEAM at home has proven to be difficult.

He never should've put himself in a position to be suspended. Big mistake... I expect him to learn from it.

I think like PK this may be good for him. To channel that passion into discipline is where winners are able to prevail. I think the Cavs are going to make it interesting without Green, but honestly their bench has been given opportunities to excel all year, and they will...........Kerr is a winner.

Joannie....how is your recovery coming.......

Thank goodness I read it wrong.  I agree Green needs to channel better.

Recovery is good, the leg is better and the arm is still so-so. I have a rigid splint that I can only remove for bathing but I don't take it off. Recent CT  scan but I have not gotten the results yet. Thanks for asking.

The NBA fined the Cavs coach for whining about James not getting foul calls anymore. Well, he has gotten more calls than Curry has gotten, and the Cavs have been at the foul line more than the Warriors. However, all that being said, the refs after making a horrible call which was a four point swing because of the Technical on Walton, over compensated with five straight non calls where Cav players were getting mugged. MSN sports is calling this series the Thugs vs the whinners........who would have thought once James lost his shot he would become a whinner, but when all you are doing is pushing people out of the way and shooting the ball from three feet or closer, the fans are seeing what he is doing, sports radio is chattering away about his offensive fouls, and the NBA refs are no longer giving him the Michael treatment which the boos around the league this year confirm that the fans still do matter, and the integrity of the game matters.............but instead of fining the coach, the NBA should have released a statement that the coach was right.....the refs screwed up. You want integrity, then do not pretend that a game that badly reffed cannot be commented on by a coach.

I just finished my shots in Chicago and am running two hours late.....cannot make it home to watch the game, so I will go to the casino and post my comments later. The poker tables are automatic move, and I know my back will be to the tv, but they have nothing else on tonight so I hope all tvs are basketball.

OK, I'm bored enough to weigh in.

I've tried to watch some of this on several occasions.

It's just boring.

Haphazard play, pathetic officiating, ... bad basketball.

But, to pretend James isn't the most talented basketball player on the planet is laughable.

Argue that he's not as accomplished as he should be ... fine.

But, c'mon.

Dude would be a starting TE on any team in the NFL.

Actually, that was the best performance in NBA Playoff history.  No, literally.

http://tinyurl.com/jfrd8vz

LeBron currently leads both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.  Should he maintain that, he will be only the second player in Finals history to do that.

The only other player to do that was....LeBron James in last years Final.  You know.  The one where lil' Curry was given a ring by his MVP bench.  Maybe they can do it for him again this year?

Curry better hope Green or Thompson don't go anywhere.  Because if they do, it will be back to 19 per night and watching the playoffs from the couch.

The idea that if we were to switch Curry and LeBron, Curry would still win anyeays is flat out laughable.  Curry can't even win at home without one of his big three.  What am I saying?  GS really only has a Big 2 and a role player. Go look at Curry's full highlights. He can catch and shoot if set up via off ball screen, and he can create his own shot if he's guarded by someone like Love or Thompson. That is it.

You seem to keep forgetting the concept of basketball.....it is a team sport. GS won last year because they won more games than the Cavs.
