I think it will be Trump, but I think Paul is going to surprise some folks with the libertarian branch of the Republican Party going to put him in top four in Iowa.

Trump with the previous two Iowa caucus winners.

Someone didn't realize the optics of this appearance.

There's a lot of anti-Trump hype going on out there...they're calling him a socialist, a Democrat, a sellout...etc. It's hilarious to see people going against Trump...for all the wrong reasons.

I read that Sheldon Adelson is backing Rubio.

You read right. Adelson is the same clown who threw million's against medicinal marijuana in Florida in 2014.

Iowa, in my HUMBLE OPINION, is relevant only because it is first. The only thing relevant will be who finishes in the top five. Rand Paul is irrelevant. More or less he is the Bernie Sanders of the Republicans.

I have never seen another internet message board poll of any kind ever be so wrong as this one.

CNN projects Ted Cruz as the GOP winner.

God help us if he were to be elected POTUS....

Trump aint gonna like this.  It's no telling what he'll do to get his revenge on Cruz now.  Also Rubio who came close to whipping his ass too.
Should be fun to watch.  lol

Trump doesn't scare me as much as Cruz. Trump, IMHO, is playing a game. I have now seen Cruz in a video with his mother and a still with his father, and they're both looking at him like he's crazy. Oh, wait, and there was also something with one of his kids not wanting him to touch her.

The GOP in Iowa chose a boring, theocratic psychopath over an amusing, fascist psychopath, and Potsie came in third.

What a party!

Losing Iowa could slow his momentum.  But he's still more than 20 pts ahead in New Hampshire and ahead in South Carolina.

And remember what President Santorum and President Hucklebee said after they won Iowa.
Well I don't remember either.  But I'd be willing to bet it was close to the same thing President Cruz is now saying.

Hucklebee had the best line of anyone last night.
He said he lost not because of the vote count,  but because of illness.  The voters were sick of him.

I agree.

What would you expect from Progressives attempt to pick what is best for Republicans.

Keep in mind who constitutes the majority of voters. Please recall what the architect of Obamacare said about those who support the plan. He is RIGHT!

In case you are wondering, and I know you are waiting with bated breath! I'm the only vote for Ted Cruz.

As you know, Trump gave an excellent, gracious speech.

Ted Cruz should have had someone with a sharp red pencil, edit his speech down by 75%

If you recall, it was the architect of Obamacare, Jonathan Gruber, who called anyone who supported...Obamacare...STUPID.

Is that clear enough for you?

...I'm the only vote for Ted Cruz...

So, I guess the Obama "birther" arguments of 5 and 6 years ago, pushed very hard by the most ardent of wingnuts, amounted to nothing but total bullshit, since those same ardent wingnuts are now all in the Ted Cruz camp....

Unlike President Obama, Ted Cruz truly WAS born outside the borders of the United States, so presenting his long form birth certificate is useless in defending his right to become POTUS.

I am now thinking how much time poster PaceDog wasted with all of his useless rambling on this forum about President Obama not being eligible to serve as POTUS.

This is one time your use of the phrase "as you know" actually does apply.
Yes,  he really surprised me with that speech.  Almost to the point of shocking me.  Never would have predicted it.

And after I make a ham sandwich I'll tell you why I think it was significant.

Trump's speech last night confirms it.  He's an utter chameleon.

We of course already knew he has taken contradictory sides on every issue over time.  We knew he's a phony with the religion.  We've learned a lot about how much of an actor he is.
BUT,  we thought the one thing that was authentic about him was his bluster.

Not any more.  He shed all that too last night with that speech.  The whole thing was the opposite of bluster.  So now we can't even trust his goddamn personality either because it can change on a dime just like his positions.

Learning that is what was significant about that speech.  That he's a total fraud in EVERY way.  Not just an actor,  but a fraud.  Because everybody knows that playing roles is what actors are supposed to do.
The ones that pretend to NOT be acting are frauds.
Which of course is also why he and Falwell Jr. got in bed together.

Trump is no "honest" politician.  The only honest politician is Gil Fulbright.

Because Mr. Markle has declared his support for Mr. Cruz I am now motivated to wholeheartedly support Mr. Cruz as well. By doing so America will have to decide if they will support [i]conservatism[i] in its purest form which alienates significant portions of the electorate . . . . . . . . as Senator Lindsay Graham declared he will 'lose by 10 to 1' which I would applaud. Nothing could be better for the Democrats . . .

We just saw that an avowed socialist who came out of left field (no pun intended) was able to gain a tie in a state with a good number of conservatives and evangelicals.  And not just tie any candidate.   An opponent who arguably represents the most powerful political force going.  And who ordinarily would have been a shoo-in in Iowa when opposed by a socialist.
I wouldn't think that bodes well for having Hillary Clinton as the nominee.

And then we get back to Sanders.  Will an avowed socialist be able to win a general election in this country at this time?  Not likely.

You couple that with the fact that neither party has won a 3rd consecutive term in the White House since Roosevelt,  and I don't think the democrat prospects are that good.
That's my impartial unbiased assessment at this point because,  since I couldn't care less who wins,  how could I be partial.
