Liberal says everybody in the world is on an equal footing and we need to use diplomacy/negotiation rather than use force.

Liberal says we need government to regulate private enterprise because,


without the government regulation,  private enterprise will put all the wealth



into the hands of a few and leave the rest of us poor.



Conservative says we need unbridled private enterprise without the interference of government because that's the only way private enterprise can thrive.  And when private enterprise thrives,  that's the only way any of us can get ahead in life.

Am I leaving out anything?

What Welles is saying is that politicians don't really have strong convictions.
They're just acting out roles to get the support of constituents.

But some would say that's what politicians are supposed to do.  They're supposed to be and do whatever it is their constituents wish because that's they're job,  to represent the ideas of their constituents.

Liberals love obama.

Conservatives despise obama.

Liberals will find any way imaginable to defend obama no matter what he says or does.

Conservatives will find any way imaginable to blame obama no matter what he says or does.

Liberals are fully convinced that obama is a very wise man who is always looking out for the welfare of Americans and trying his best to restore
America to greatness.

Conservatives are fully convinced that obama is the dumbest and most incompetent president we have ever had who is doing everything in his power to destroy america.

There is no gray area with obama.  Only pure black.  Or pure white.
