As I write this the game is zero to zero in the second quarter, stay tuned!

Alabama and LSU have played every presidential election year since 1984. That's eight times.

LSU won four. Alabama won four.

And every presidential year LSU won the game the Republican nominee won the presidency. And every presidential year Alabama won the game the Democratic nominee took the office.

LSU won by two in 1984, and Ronald Reagan stormed the White House. LSU won by a point in 1988, and George H.W. Bush whipped Michael Dukakis. LSU won in 2000 and again in 2004, and so did George W. Bush.

Enough to move the sticks? I don't know.

Alabama hammered LSU in 1992, and Bill Clinton took the office. The Tide shut out LSU in 1996, and Clinton took out Bob Dole.  Alabama in 2008 – under Nick Saban – beat his former team 27-21. That was the year Barack Obama won his first term. In 2012, a T.J. Yeldon screen pass did LSU in, and Barack Obama won again.

Call it happenstance or call it irony, the statistics say ... whatever it is statistics say.

If Alabama wins on Saturday night – if you believe such things – Hillary Clinton will become the next president of the United States.

And look how the World Series turned out...

Any time the World Series goes seven games – as it did this year – the league affiliation of the team determines the presidency, he said.

If the American League team wins, a Republican wins the presidency. If the National League team wins, the Democrats take the White House.

Nice to know but all you need to remember is that the republicans haven't taken the White House since 1972 without a Bush on the ticket. No praise to the Bush family but it's just a fact. Casey Stengel used to say you can look it up.

1972 it was Nixon, always Nixon. All the way back to 1928. From 1952 to 1972, Nixon was on every republican winning ticket. You can look that up too.

Asinine at best. Who won in 1980? LSU or Bama? Reagan won in 1980.
