This fucked-up country has been racist from day one, whether the perpetrators were left or right. It started with our rich, slave-owning so-called forefathers, and after being the driving force in America's proud extirpation of Native Americans (who were doomed because they weren't white Christians and were living on land targeted by ultra rich and powerful whites) racism progressed to plague Catholics, Irish, Italians, Jews and virtually any immigrant who wasn't an English-speaking, white protestant. At the turn of the 19th century, bloodsucking oligarchs like Carnegie and Vanderbilt brought in Chinese laborers to build their rail empires for far less wages, because exploitation and profits were all that mattered to these great American industrialists. Laws were quickly established to deny property or voting rights to these Chinese, and in Utah, the home of my mother's people, Chinese and Filipino immigrants were mercilessly persecuted and abused by poorly educated and mis-informed low-income whites who hated the Asian immigrants for taking away their jobs. Oddly, instead of zeroing in on their real oppressors -- the fat, bloodsucking oligarchs who were industrializing America -- they took out their frustrations on the Asian laborers.

So who are today's American racial victims? Our African Americans have come a long way from where they were 50 years ago. But take note what's going on with the NBA racial scandal taking place right now -- a multi-millionaire white team owner who has been sucking profits and fame by exploiting black players he disdains, has been "outed." And one of the two dominant political parties has openly stated it is making efforts to diminish "minority" voting with laws enacted by republican-dominated state voting officials.

What's truly bizarre, is that even though many of the leaders of the republican party recognize the future of their party depends on attracting rapidly growing minority voters, they are unable to counter the power of the large white-protestant racists (aka Dixiecrats) who are loath to give-up their assumptions of racial superiority, even if it means becoming politically irrelevant. Reality!

Look at the venom aimed at illegal Mexican immigration. You don't see that focus aimed at people coming in from Canada. And once again, the same as it was at the turn of the 19th century when Asian laborers were brought in by white oligarchs who could exploit them for greater profits than could be had by hiring American workers -- including the large Irish-American community which up to that point had been the premier source for cheap labor -- today's illegal immigration is powered by our biggest corporate agriculture and meat and poultry processors. And just as it was in the 19th century, instead of targeting their anger and frustration at the oligarchs who are the real problem, the white-protestant American society pushes for tougher border security and greater punishment and deportation of Mexicans who braved coming here for jobs.

The truth is, white protestant America clearly reads that it is losing its social and economic clout and that soon it will, in fact, be one of the American minorities -- a target instead of a target-er. And America's racism continues to roil what has from the beginning of our country, been anything but placid waters.

The good news is despite all their efforts, white protestant America sees it's children defying all their parent's rules. Black kids and white kids becoming romantically involved? Sure. Check out Spring Break attendees and their activities. Music is as much a part of this generation as it was for their parents. And the dominant forms of today's pop music are, as they were back in the fifties, the products of black American artists. Same sex couples? No problem with today's college kids.

What our kids know, is that the profits of racism and prejudice are nil.

And that's bad news for the ultra rich bastards who have fostered racial prejudice for fun and profit, since the beginning of our racially divided, conflictive society.

The facts are, we either eliminate racism, or we destroy ourselves.

And young America knows it.

Maybe there's hope for America, after all.

My message for white protestant politicians is simple: change your ways or become totally irrelevant, Mitt, Sarah, Rick, Eric, Chris, Jeb, Rand and associates. "Getting our country back," and "We're the real America," are ever more irrelevant slogans.

America has gone as far to the right as it could, and the pendulum is already starting to swing back. Racism as a tool for the ultra rich is beginning to fail. It's about time!

Drudge said Sterling is a Democrat. County records show that he is a registered Republican and has been for many years. His donations to Democrats took place two decades ago and were modest even by the standards of that time.

Look my friends -- the issue isn't which party Mr. Sterling favors, it's the existence of blaring racism nestled in the old white men who have climbed their way up to the top of the money tree.

How long does it take for everyone to recognize that there's never a pay-off for hatred?

When one person thinks his race is superior to others, that's racism.

When we fight each other as conservatives vs. liberals, we're playing the oligarch's game. They've been pushing hatred in one form or another since before the American Revolution, so the people they can control won't have time to realize who's really fucking them.

Why would anyone who knows America be surprised that the multimillionaire owner of a major sports/entertainment enterprise was, incidentally, a racist?

Do you really think the Koch brothers whose accelerating fortunes are built on enterprises that rape the environment, are the good guys?

While we were paying for and dying in the bloody jungles of Vietnam, the leaders of the MIC were paying off their legislative whores -- both democrat and republican.

At some point, if we wish to survive and thrive as a nation, we have to recognize who our enemies really are.
