These guys couldn't be any more fake.  They're all yuppie frat guys who put on make up to look like backwoods rednecks.  The good part is towards the end when they show pictures of these guys the way they were before they got a television show.

BOF, from the examiner and also which I have heard from some people that live close to the Robertson's.

“Duck Dynasty” is unabashedly honest about their show. It is just about as real as reality TV gets. Of course, there may be other reality TV shows that have a “candid camera” filming around the clock, but are you really seeing the real people? The characters on “Duck Dynasty” are exactly who they are, but they are just trying to make you laugh along the way.

This could be a PR job, as the guy suggested. We'll find out soon enough. Meanwhile, I've never watched it...but in those "clean cut" photos, the blonde guy looks a whole lot like my nephew.

I don't know if we will find out or not. The Robertson's announced today that they may be quitting A&E.

I was out and about doing some shopping today, and I can tell you that their shitty merchandise was flying off the shelves.

Hate sells.

Off topic, when I was in one store, I heard the sound of tires squealing outside.

When I went to leave, I found where a woman in a Lincoln Navigator had somehow lost control of her vehicle, hit three cars, including one so hard that it had been forced over the top of a pedestrian who had been walking past it.

First responders were working furiously to free the guy who was still pinned under the smashed car.

Stay safe.

It's crazy out there.

Yeah when the Muslims hit the towers I remember the Muslim merchandise flew off the shelves because Americans wanted to show their support for the Muslim hate.....

Has nothing to do with hate other than the hate heaped upon Christians.  We are reaching the breaking point.  All the hate and vitriol heaped on Christians by Heathens, Muslims and others has reached it's limit.

Where is the same response from the far left Progressives about the hate and slurs hurled at Christians by the far left?

That's a good point and a valid one. I agree. I always thought Wright was a crackpot like Robertson. Said it from the beginning.

So now tell me how it justifies this reality tv personality to get on a stage and make a speech to tell me I'm "full of murder, envy, strife, heartlessness, arrogance, ruthlessness and senselessness"?

This guy hit bottom. His life fell apart, his marriage and family all of it, because he got so deep into booze.
He ended up running a bar. And a guy came into the bar and gave him religion to soothe his soul.
I get that. And I'm glad for him.

But why couldn't he let it go with that. Why does he have to make it harder for me to make himself be satisifed. That aint how the golden rule works. And the word of God, The Holy Bible, says the golden rule is "THE LAW".
Meaning the law that takes precedent over all law.

Excuse me,  markle.  I replied with "Wright" when you pointed to Farrakhan.
I have trouble keeping straight the names of crackpots.

Nah, we might can push that political partisan stuff with race and guns and about everything else, including personalities.
But not when it comes to this. Because when it comes to this, both you and duck man and Farrakhan are all on the same team. lol

"We see hustlers. We see adulterers, fornicators, lesbians, homosexuals. If you can’t preach what Christ says, then get the hell out of the pulpit. If you can’t stand up for what God says, then why are you trying to represent a God that you are misrepresenting?"

You think you know Jesus Christ?... If you knew him, why is there so much drunkenness, so much drugs, so much fornication, so much adultery, so much homosexuality, so much lesbianism, so much murder, so much crime?

And there are dozens of other quotes of him saying the same thing.

BUT, when it came to black people being imprisoned for crimes, damnit if he didn't condone it...

...I think that when you warehouse Black men in prisons and they have a sexual drive that is being titillated by the lyrics and by the cultural degeneracy that pervades America today, this sexual need is sometimes filled with activity that God disapproves of.

Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright are very close friends.  In fact Farrakhan and Wright were guests of Muammar al-Gaddafi in Libya.

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, 20 year mentor and part of the Obama "family".

Some more perspective on the Duck Dynasty crowd.

A friend just called to tell me about this.

‘Duck Dynasty’ creator Scott Gurney starred in indie ‘gay porn’ film

It seems a little odd that Robertson would be in a show this guy created.
It's like finding out that Keith Olbermann was the one who produced speeches for Sarah Palin.

In other words, it's startin to have that same odor we're smelling with so much of today's media.

Like just about everything else, it appears it's been inspired by pro wrastlin.

BOards,

Just say what your hero said in regards to the Duck Dynasty crowd:

"They are clinging to their guns and religion."

I'd be one of those myself.

So would I.  My gun is sitting on the chair beside me,  loaded and ready to fire whenever the trigger is pulled (it's a revolver).
I don't foresee shooting ducks with it because no duck is any threat to me,  but I will try to shoot whatever wants to harm me.  So I guess that qualifies as "clinging" to it.

And I'm definitely clinging to my religion too.  No it's not the same religion you and Robertson are clinging to.  But it is my religion.
And on matters such as this,  I go by both the Bible and the Constitution.
How so?

Because the Bible says "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".  Which means that I accept the religion you and Robertson have chosen,  because I would want you and Robertson to accept my religion too.
And I go by the Constitution because it gives you and Robertson and me and everyone else the freedom to have any religion we want.  It prohibits me from trying to take away your religion from you,  just as it prohibits you from trying to take my religion away from me.

Maybe you and I are not as far apart on all this as we thought we were.

Bob I think you just wisely solved the whole matter. You obviously support Ducks right to voice his belief on Homosexuals and are against him being censured by a minority of the population and this as long as you are not censured or punished for your faith. Seems reasonable in a all men are created equal type of country...I agree with you.

He's not being censured.

He's free to say whatever he wants.

And the private company that employs him is free to can his ass, if they believe his public statements damage their brand and/or would hurt the bottom line.

As it all should be.

Why were you not demanding Alec Baldwin and Martin Bashir be given their jobs back?

Shut up, Markle. We're trying to have a rational discussion here.
