And for the same reason all the other countries want them.

It's because human beings are violent by their nature.  If you don't believe that then you don't believe this happened either...

Which of those nations have sworn to wipe another nation off the face of the earth?

There are nine nations with Nuclear Weapons. Please state what benefit there is to the world for another rogue nation to have nuclear weapons.

What nations are no longer in existence due to nuclear attacks from Israel?

Israel's Jericho III missile has enough range to be an ICBM. It also has extreme accuracy. Where does Israel have enemies on other continents?

Unless, of course, it wants to have the ability to target the United States.... One day, our Congress might wake-up and decide to reduce the financial and military support it provides to the Zionist nation. Could Israel have a contingency where Washington, DC might be in their crosshairs?

Once again, you couldn't answer the question so you dodged and tried to answer a question with a question.  Sorry, won't work.

Try again. If you cannot answer these simple questions, you really have nothing do you? I am shocked...SHOCKED I SAY! Laughing Laughing

Come on, step up, show us your brilliance!

Say what y'all will about israel... I don't know how the left can support religious extremists having any path that helps them in anyway move toward nuclear weapons. Y'all are constantly calling the christians here radicals... how does that reconcile with appeasing a theocracy based on oppressive and extreme views? Do y'all support those views? You must if you support a loosening of the international sanctions in any way... you don't gain any enlightenment points showing tolerance to the intolerant.

Be consistent... the sanctions would dissolve if they followed the treaties and peaceful resolutions. Why should the world bend to their terms? If you think israel is breaking international agreements... make the case. Would you arm an insane man threatening to murder? Well?

North Korean threats to the United States:

They will "...mercilessly drive the American aggressors into the sea..."

They will "...will be exercising (their) right to preemptive nuclear attack against the headquarters of the aggressor..."

They will: "...'miserably destroy' US units stationed in South Korea and transform Seoul into a 'nuclear sea of fire'..."

http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/north-korea-responds-to-new-un-sanctions-with-nuclear-threats-a-887753.html

North Korea has admitted to having nuclear weapons and have conducted three nuclear tests since 2006. They have openly threatened to conduct nuclear attacks the United States and South Korea, and drive the American forces stationed in South Korea into the sea.

Yet, the U.S. has coddled North Korea and tried to deal with their open and active nuclear issues through diplomacy instead of military action and threats. What has seemed to work with North Korea won't work with Iran according to wingnut (il)logic.....

It is hard to fathom how wingnuts don't react to the terrible threats North Korea has already issued--threatening to attack the U.S. with nuclear weapons--the same way they have reacted toward Iran, which has not even acquired a bomb yet. But we know that wingnut logic tends to be illogical.....

That should be a lesson to the world... you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. Iran didn't give up any capability... it has quadrupled it's centrifuge capacity since 2009... it has amassed uranium gas to a fraction of weapon capability. Who won?

If you think it's the iranian people you're very wrong. The theocracy has brutally held the popular movements in check. The drivers of that unrest were economic directly a result of the sanctions... that pressure is relieved. What did the world gain?

Agreed. Can we say this first North Korean nuclear test, which occured on October 3, 2006, was a clear foreign policy failure of the administration of George W. Bush and the then GOP-controlled Congress and Senate? I know Bush had his hands full with Iraq and Afghanistan, but as president, he's not supposed to let other foreign policy concerns fall through the crack (that is, if he is worth a salt).

Certainly... plenty of blame to go around. The UN and particularly China too. I don't think anyone reasonable should want these extreme countries to possess nukes for the same reason we don't want criminals and crazies to have guns. Bad ideas fail.
