MIAMI (AP) -- U.S. authorities have repatriated 39 Cuban migrants picked up by the Coast Guard in the waters off the Florida Keys.
The Coast Guard said Thursday that the migrants were picked up in four separate interdictions. On Saturday, the Coast Guard received two reports about unseaworthy vessels. A third rustic vessel was found Sunday south of Key West. A fourth rustic vessel was found Monday south of Long Key.
The migrants were taken Wednesday to Bahia de Cabanas, Cuba. The Coast Guard says all the migrants received food, water and basic medical care while aboard U.S. vessels.
