. . . . . . and the point is what exactly? I'm all for patriotic display and with the bikers it adds more than a little machismo but what's the complaint?

Jake92

I wasn't complaining 1 bit. I was one of the people in the Home Depot parking lot waving to them as they went by.... I supported them, not complained about them....

If you use Google, Teo, you will find reports of the biker rally. I don't know exactly what your point is here.

They were on way to DC to protest during the alleged 1 Million Muslim march that got cancelled when they bikers started heading that direction.

No, they weren't. They were there to commemorate their lost friends and relatives who were killed on 9/11 and also their fellow men-at-arms who lost their lives as a result of the wars that ensued in the aftermath. But I see the right-wing spin machine is in high gear.

Youre wrong as usual.

They purposely made the bike run to head off the million muslim march.

That was why they were not given a permit.

but they did it anyway, because they have the rights of US citizens to drive on any road. Very Happy

Sorry jake, I wasn't directing that to you but to the thread title making reference to, I suppose, a lack of mainstream media attention. This country is a busy and diverse land with a host of stories that go unreported or under reported each and every day.

Was the so-called million Muslim march a myth because I noted 'the alleged' march? If it were a million Buddhas March, million southern Baptist march or any other of the over 600 religions practiced in our country would that same band of brothers have done the same? Probably not, remember even Muslims in our country who are citizens are Americans first and absent illegal behavior should be given respect instead of a countering offensive by the Hells Angels with American flags.

Wrong answer, as usual.

Why did it take the bikers 13 years to commemorate the deaths on 9/11?
What cha wanna bet that the bikers were there to counter protest the 25 or so Muslims in D.C. who showed up for their march that never happened?

lol!

There have been many bikers escorting the deceased military members and their families during the funeral processions for the last 12 years that I've seen right here in P'cola..... A lot of them are ex military from Viet Nam, but many of them are also people who never served 1 day in the military and are showing their respect.

Sal, what I don't get is Teo's reference to the MSM in his title . . . . . was it news worthy? I didn't think so but the bikers still have the right to show their respects . . . whatever.

The Mainstream was already covering a handful of Muslims that were going to be there and 1.2 million bikers show up and YOU don't think that's WORTHY ?!

It is impossible for your gal to ride the rear in a burka...and it just looks so uncool.
