If I recall it was Clinton, not Obama, who started shipping jobs overseas and passed NAFTA ignoring Perot's warning about the sound of jobs being sucked out of the economy. It is the global economy and the multi-national corporations, not exclusively the government, that push jobs overseas. Not everything is Obama's fault, really.

Wages are declining while productivity is up so even if people are working harder and better they are not seeing the benefits. That's not good for anyone.

Wages have fallen to a record low as a share of America’s gross domestic product. Until 1975, wages nearly always accounted for more than 50 percent of the nation’s G.D.P., but last year wages fell to a record low of 43.5 percent. Since 2001, when the wage share was 49 percent, there has been a steep slide.

Superstition and fear do not make enlightenment, and a thesis by T on international trade would be a hoot.........Obama did everything bad......in baseball he would be hitting 980, and in football he would have a qb rating of 120........of course that would be for the other team.

Somehow you are trying to conflate boomers with wall street bankers, special interest groups and multinational corporations? The problem is uncontrolled global cut throat greedy capitalism, which would work well for everyone if there were socially responsible regulations and a tax code from the 1950's or even later placed upon it.

As it is the global economy runs like a bad game of Monopoly with a few ending up with the lions share of the goodies. I am not, repeat, NOT talking about redistribution of wealth in the "Joe the Plumber" sense of the term but rather a system that is not tilted to the exclusive benefit of those who have already made it. If people were Justly rewarded for their labors it would be good for the entire economy. The boomers did not set this up. Since when did they have that power?

Well if you believe in elected government they had it often. Andrew Jackson routed the bankers so government can do it but not the POS people we elected. Spineless criminals for sale to the highest bidder.

If boomers made up most of the electorate then your theory holds water. Alas, there are other groups voting. As for spineless criminals for sale, I have to agree, with a few exceptions.

For example when over 80% of the public thinks we need universal background checks for buying fire arms and the dip sh$t congress votes contrary to that then you know we are up the creek without a paddle.

Since the corporations control the general media we are fed a line of propaganda that suits the interests of the PTB and as long as most people get their information from these sources...
