I happen to think that Elizabeth Warren is one of the most giving, intelligent and idealistic politicians in Washington. And I did work for her election (although courage had nothing to do with it.) Do I believe that in the long run her efforts will really change the way our fixed system runs? Not a chance.


Then you are foolish......you think that this country is terrible......oh I went through that phase in the early 70s writing papers about multinationals showing the abuses of trade policy and how the game was rigged........utter childlike naive world view.....some gray hairs......some wisdom......and watching the miracle of the Chinese economic machine, you realize that we live in a Dynamic model where the comparative advantage is not without economic dislocation, and that the wealth this nation generated and saw the highest standards of living in history......I had the pleasure to work for years with a large multi national American Corporation who made bearings......fighting every day to improve our productivity, improving quality, improving the standard of living of Americans as our bearing were in every air conditioner which changed the climate.......was I a slave......did I not have the freedom to move to another job.....did I not see a union at the bargaining table working for better conditions and wages for the worker......in the real world folks fight and work for change and improvement.....in your theoretical world of avoidance, I too could study abusive oligarchies which I did, but I had not participated.....I sat on the sidelines and studied.....pontificated.......made no improvements and thought I had it figured out.......sorry......good and courageous people are working every day to find balance and fairness which will continue to make this country great........I have a Nazi and an anarchist telling me that Mr. Markle and I are Nazis........you guys need to visit Egypt for a month......then come back and tell me how bad this country is......sorry you are either working for a better system or you are not......it is pretty obvious you guys have been in the cheap seats....never been on the playing field.

The United States has become the world’s largest debtor. The ratio of U.S. debt to foreign countries and U.S. exports is approaching the crisis ratios of banana republics. It is becoming inevitable that America’s mounting debts will produce a crisis much greater than what we have dubbed “the Great Recession.” The dollar’s value will plummet. U.S. living standards will drop. Goods will become far more expensive for Americans.

What helps to keep the overvalued dollar up is the fact that it is the currency in which the Middle East uses to bill for its oil sales. Every country has to purchase dollars in order to pay for its oil, and these purchases keep the dollar afloat. Just prior to the U.S. invasion, sanctions on Iraqi oil had run their course and were about to be removed. Saddam Hussein intended to bill Iraqi oil in Euros, which could have started the abandonment of the dollar by the oil-producing countries. This was obviously a major factor in the invasion.

Much of the United States is clueless about the treacherous state of our economy. The delusions being sold to the American public are only serving to further hasten our demise. In the meantime, America continues to lose high-paying jobs and entire occupations to foreigners, because U.S. corporations are still outsourcing jobs and producing offshore.

The driver is the same as the first overturn... economic pressure. Y'all can assign anything you want... but that is the motive. The difference is that they are unwilling to accept bs at this point.

The same thing happened here that brought obama into power. We were in an economic downturn and instead of a theocratic turn we got a socialist turn. The difference is that they recognized it... we aren't smart enough to.

I am happy with my Country, my community, and my family........I do feel good......I have hope and aspirations for my grandchildren who are thriving in your awful world......on the 4th of July I celebrate the luck of my birth in this great country.....some of you folks are wanabee Egyptians.......again.....get a ticket...........the crack is probably better there too......because I doubt you are going to put the pipe down.....and those pyramids.....scary stuff.....definitely get night lights because who knows.....mummies or some other scary stuff.......living afraid and angry is not a way to go through life.........the anger is relative to the impotence.......get involved and make a difference.....life is short.

I will tell you my high point of the week. I have met a 70 year old Navy vet . He is a black man retired from a manufacturing job where he raised a family. He is a widower, and his only daughter lives in Texas. He has stage 4 colon cancer and you might figure out how I met him, but needless to say he is talking to me that his daughter was sick in Texas and he went through most of his savings to help her and spent the last 6 months nursing her back to health in Texas.....the irony of this the man is a mere skeleton. Well he is near tears because the city he lives in had about 200 bucks of traffic tickets from four years ago which with late payments had got up to about a thousand bucks......The city put him on a payment plan, and he had paid it down to about 300 dollars, but for the last 3 months he simply ran out of money.......so they said tough luck.......we are sending a letter to the state, and you are going to lose your driving privileges......this guy has a year at best......he is alone....depending on a small pension, and social secuirty......most of his medical bills are getting paid, but he still has deductibles and copays........

I am sitting waiting for my monthly shot......and I snap.....I was not going to do nothing......I asked him to give me the damn letter from the city, and told him to meet me the next day at a Shell gas station. I handed him a letter addressed to the SOB finance director of the City, and I told him to walk in their and hand it to him.....you think I am an azs on this forum......try bullying a dying veteran........I will not go into the threats I made........but the man is now on a payment plan, and he will drive until his illness takes him.....not some bully thinking he is going to be a bad asz.......this man called me and was so thankful......I said I will maybe see him in the upcoming months........I know he or I may not be there, but there is nothing I can do about that......but I can put a hurt on anybody who is going to abuse another human without listening......sorry.....this government is god crap.....you don't have a clue......get off your collective asz and quit whining.....courage....serving your country.....yep....no argument.....but when did you curl into a ball and start feeling sorry for yourself.....this country is great because of the good people who give a shi_.

I have never worried about being proven an idiot.......that makes me smile.....I worry that i will be surrounded by soft and weak people who have lost values and cannot distinguish good from bad. I am not afraid.......it takes awhile......but when you have nothing to lose......you begin to understand what is important.......elections matter. Platforms and issues matter........bad people need to be identified.....good people need to rise.......the rest takes care of itself....small daily battles......community.....county.....state.....national.....international.....as Tip O'Neil used to say.....politics are local......I am just damn tired of bullies......I am a bully buster......and rather than complaining about a bully.....I have lived my life confronting them.......this country is great.....we have been lulled into a sense that security is more important than liberty.....but that is not going to magically be won by a magic wand.....it takes good people standing up to abuse....where that abuse comes matters not.......slowly people are leaving their cocoons.......this is a good country.

Now if you don't like bullies you might consider the central government and it's big brother the Military Industrial Complex.

The budget of this nation reflects our priorities.......I support candidates who care about Americans as reflected in the budgets......For the first time in my life I attacked a Republican Presidential Candidate because he was an agent of the Oligarchy.......his budget priorities were not my priorities......it starts with local folks........if only 40% of Americans will even bother to vote.....that apathy allows bad people to prevail, when this nation starts having 70% voter turnout.....you will not have to worry about the military industrial complex.......focus on budgets.....priorities......the rest will take care of itself.....again......we have faults, but we are not 1933 Germany....that is simply an insult without basis......

My comment points out that hundreds of thousands of Egyptians were allowed to demonstrate against the government without police or military interference, something that would never be allowed here.

In addition, the Egyptian demonstrations were, for the most part, non violent.

You respond with statements about the Tea Baggers and Egyptian rapes.

Your inability to focus is accelerating dramatically.

In addition, the Egyptian demonstrations were, for the most part, non violent.

We had hundreds of thousands of Tea Party Patriots demonstrate all across the country in thousands of cities without one single incident.

On the other hand we had your beloved OWS mobs, who you assured us were going to be leading this country, resulted in murders, rapes, assaults, robberies and hundreds of millions in damages.

In Egypt, the military, while accomplishing a peaceful coup, have taken to assaulting and killing those opposed to the takeover.
