The glamorous dancer girlfriend of NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden
has revealed her devastation at his decision to go on the run without
her.

Lindsay Mills, 28, who described her boyfriend as "E" and her "man of
mystery", said: "My world has opened and closed all at once. Leaving me
lost at sea without a compass."

I've been trying to speculate how in his mind he could think how doing this would benefit him in the long run, but so far I've come up blank on that.
If he's sincere and he had no hidden motives, he gave up everything to stand up for his convictions.

And if that is truly how it is, the thing that pisses me off most is seeing those useless overpaid talking head hacks on "The Five" and other Fox News programs trash him like he was a leper. What in fuck have any of them ever done that has any value to anyone but themselves.

There's probably some 80 IQ sniper just itching to put a bullet in Snowdens brain in service to his country....

And now some gutless wonder working at Booz Allen (or whatever it's called) is reading your and my posts.

Hey, Booz Allen dipshit, I say you're a stinking lowlife scumbag who'll do any job for money. Why don't you get a real job like flipping burgers at McDonalds and do something worthwhile with your life you sorry son of a cocksucking bitch.

I don't know about this guy. He claims to have had access to all or a lot of NSA employee information. I find this highly questionable.

I hate to do this, but I kinda agree with you.

He's a weird dude.

His interview just struck me as a little off, and he made some pretty wild claims and exaggerations.

Something smells a little fishy about the whole thing.

Yep, I had the same feeling.

His security clearance and his job gave him access to "Prism" information, neko.
So what's so "questionable" about that?

Of course it has to be "fishy". It came out on Obama's watch.
If it had been revealed when Bush was president there wouldn't be a damn thing fishy about it. And there wouldn't be anything "weird" about this guy either. lol

Oh, STFU.

The one good thing that might come of all this, is maybe we'll take a good hard look at the explosion of our intelligence apparatus, the massive amount of money we're spending, and the lack of positive results we're getting from it.

And, all this has been happening on Obama's watch too.

So, fuck off, or IMPEACH!!, or whatever ...

Bob, explain that to me, because I am not sure exactly what that means.

OK, here's what I mean. And I don't know about a Booz Allen employee in Hawaii but I know with military and federal employees who have clearances, those clearances are on a "need to know" basis, depending on what information they need to know to do their job. Just because you have a top secret clearance doesn't mean you know everything or have access to every secret.

Looks like he was exaggerating his pay a little. He worked there for less than 3 months. I don't know how he could even get his computer fully working in that time, lol. There are so many security walls when you go to work in an organization like this with all that security, it takes weeks just to get computer access. I think the guy thinks very highly of himself.

What he's said is his job and his security clearance made him aware of the NSA project called "Prism", neko. That's the surveillance operation in question.
Because of that he learned that NSA is obtaining phone records of Americans from many of the nation's phone providers. And he did not like this idea so he went public to two newspapers and blew the whistle on it.

The only reason Sal thinks he's fishy is because the buck stops with Obama and since Obama's shit doesn't stink then somebody else's shit has to do the stinking so it must be Snowden's.

And I think the reason you think he's fishy is because you have been taught that anything the government does in the name of "national security" has to good for us because the government says it is.

Neither do any of the rest of us. We never heard of Booz Allen until now because it's a secret. Just like the IRS targeting organizations because of their political views was a secret. Just like the pedophile ambassador overseen by the State Department was also a secret until just this morning. lol

No Bob, don't label me like that. I know that less than 3 months is not much time for him to have gathered all the information he seems to be claiming to know. And he apparently was lying about his pay. $122,000 in Hawaii is not a whole lot of money. It's good money, but it's not great money.

Bob, really--don't you think the guy is a little weird looking? And that he seems to think pretty highly of himself?

I've heard of Booz Allen. They do a lot of work for/with the government.

Firstly, if he was given security clearance and a job involving the Prism project and after three months he still didn't even know what it was doing then we have an even worse problem. That would be like working at McDonalds for three months and not knowing the fucking place was making hamburgers. So if that's what all government employees are like then frankly the government is so fucked up that the whole stinking thing needs to just go away and leave us all the hell alone.

And I have no idea why this guy is supposed to be "weird looking". I have seen hundreds of people walking the streets around here that aint no more weird looking than he is.

Lastly, I don't know the particulars about him lying about his salary. Link me to something on that. But please do it quickly because shortly I have to leave to go to Pollard.

I was aware of Booz Allen before this revelation.

But then I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly, and occasionally crack open an actual book.

This guy is a little bent, some of his statements, like he could order a wiretap on anyone up to the President, should kind of cast doubt on the authenticity of his story. A contractor would not have cross-compartment access to everything he claims unless he found a way to hack the NSA system - so unlikely as to be impossible. Booz Allen is a major contractor suckling at the government teat but it's doubtful they played a role in this program to the extent this dude claims. Somethings wrong with this whole story.

Okay well in that case I may have to eat my words on this because I spoke before gettin educated. Maybe he is just some crackpot. lol

I will say that that it was surprising from the start to me that someone would give up all he gave up just for convictions if that's what it is. Because we live in a society where that is very very rare. Most people have convictions these days because they're making money off of it. Or they've been brainwashed into believing their convictions actually make sense. lol

No, no, I am not saying that he didn't know what he was doing. I am talking about the steps involved in getting a job with a clearance, getting the clearance, transferring the clearance to a new job, and then once you're sitting at the desk in the new job, getting all the clearances needed just to be able to get into the secure computer system to do your job. It's crazy. What I am saying is that when you start a job that requires such a security clearance and your entire at work computer system has all those security walls, it takes 3 months just to get all that crap done at work so that you can start your job .....and then leak crap to the public. Less than 3 months is NOTHING. I don't know how he even got a computer card pass in that amount of time, lol.

Ya'll debate it without me for a while. If I can get a signal in Pollard I'll be able to read the debate and participate. But I don't think that cheap watered down version of Verizon I have that Walmart sells will do it. It didn't in the mountains when somebody else's real Verizon actually did. lol

I did give a link, I think. It's in that article about him being fired.
