It’s worth noting James Holmes father immediately left California for Colorado to be with his son. James’s mother didn’t go the Colorado to be with her son.
It’s pretty apparent by James’s mother’s comments and actions that she has little supportive or positive feelings toward her son, and most likely dehumanized him as he developed into an adult. According to fellow students James was extremely intelligent but a loner. Being an extremely intelligent person would have meant he probably had little interest in boy conversations about girls breasts and would have rather enjoyed conversation about Steven Hawkins new theory about warping space for travel.
